That was a pretty good play, but I know Fangraphs and other places rank him as one of the worst defensive infielders. I can't say for sure, but he doesn't make dumb mistakes. I do think his range is below average.

I agree with this on SS, but I thought i've read that he is above average at 3rd.

Maybe I am dreaming

Geez Louise--

Finally get to sleep a little later after school is done--

Wake up to a 7 run lead, and then... for God's sake, all I did was go make some coffee and some eggs,

and we can no longer have nice things. Like 7 run leads.

Stanton homers off of Cody Allen and it is a 6-5 ballgame in Cleveland. No outs, top 9
Greg Bird with a follow-up single

Andujar grounds into a double play

Neil Walker walks (no pun intended)

Didi Gregorious pops out
Indians win 6-5

OK, there's a couple nice things-  Grossman stroking that one, but even better--

Nice play by Pippi Longstocking there in left!

Gotta be honest, I hate the Yankees so much I'd rather see the Indians win even though we're chasing them.

Nice pick by the girl in the first row.

Her face lighting up was the highlight of the game so far.

Use Chief's then - the year only has three digits.

There were four digits, it was just based on a slightly differently epoch where the higher the number of the year - the further back in time it was.

If I thought the Twins had any chance at all to catch the Indians I'd probably care, but I have a difficult time thinking they'll end up within a dozen games of them.

How is it that I only watching via gameday can tell Odorizzi was pitching terribly yet the field staff can’t see what is happening right in front of them?

He should have been yanked after the 4th. He NEVER does well third time through the lineup. EVER! If this turns into a loss, it is squarely on MOY.

6 of the 9 hitters before Bauers’ homer reached, yet somehow Odorizzi was left in for two more batters AFTER the homer. Molitor does not get it.

It's classic Molitor for you. When it's a veteran, he's going to get every chance to prove himself. If it's a young gun, he's gone the first sign of struggles. That's why Romero is in AAA right now and Odorizzi's here.

This is what we saw from Busenitz last year. He lacks the ability (either in command or stuff) to put hitters away. The result is long at bats. The longer the at bat, the bigger advantage for the hitter and the rest of the hitters in the lineup.

Cripe- does Matt Duffy even have a chest?

He looks sort of... concave.

But he hits!

Gotta love this game. Don't have to be an Adonis-freak-of-nature to be a stud.

He faced 4 batters and threw 16 pitches, 4 pitches per batter doesn’t seem out of line. He just has gotten no leash at all, so he must feel like he has to be perfect. That’s a lot of pressure to have to pitch under.

This is a golden opportunity for Busenitz to show he can do what needs to be done.

Hide Belisle's glove so they can't send him in?

Whoa, slow down there, Mr. Oracle, not everybody has your eye for faint signs and subtle trends.
