tvagle Verified Member Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 Dick has to stop thinking everyone is hurt when they are just trying to avoid collision with 1st baseman
tvagle Verified Member Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 Setting alarm for next Tortuga AB...only thing worth watching
David HK Verified Member Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 Come on, guys, You can only hold Nate Orf down for so long...
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 I am so sick of seeing Rodney on the Twins. I hope they can trade him immediately if not sooner. They got lucky, relatively, so far. No need to press it. It will just hurt his trade value for the foolish GM that trades for him.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 How many managers would let someone who's hitting .125 hit for himself in the last inning when the game is so close? The answer to this question seems likely to decline by one at some point in the next few months.

operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 Man, I was thinking before this trip how much fun it would be for the guys on the team- a week in Chicago- one of the greatest cities in the country for food, fun, and culture, 2 series without leaving town, then a jolly bus trip for 90 minutes to Milwaukee, another fun town. But then....But then.... Twins!
S. Verified Member Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 MLB debut, hasn't pitched out of the pen since spring training, tied game in the 10th, and this is the guy we go to? Edit: but, on the other hand, I don't like our other options either.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 I really want to wish Littell well but I don't see any way we're going to win this. They still have Hader waiting in the wings.

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 MLB debut, hasn't pitched out of the pen since spring training, tied game in the 10th, and this is the guy we go to?Clearly we don't need Busenitz, who won our last extra innings game, or somebody like Duffey, who looked good last time up. We obviously need to make space for Matt Belisle.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 Those 90 mph fastballs with no control.... just lean into them, what the hell.
David HK Verified Member Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 OK, first guy 0-2 gets hit- next guy 1-2... what's gonna happen here?
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 Fun with numbers (depending on your idea of fun): In the quintessential save situation, a one-run lead to start the ninth, Rodney is now only 1 out of 4 in converting those leads into wins and saves.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 The genius MOY just had to eat up all those relievers.

David HK Verified Member Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 Sucks when the other team gets hits when they count, but your team always needs miracle to get out of an inning.
tvagle Verified Member Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 Worst managerial decision tonight...Warming Belisle up early in game so now he's unavailable
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 I really want to wish Littell well but I don't see any way we're going to win this. They still have Hader waiting in the wings. Yup, you can see him loosening up already:
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 It's all that spin on the ball that can't be bunted.
David HK Verified Member Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 vaseline ball, shine ball, good old fashioned spitter, come on, Littel, get this guy somehow
howeda7 Verified Member Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 This game is over. The Twins will be swept in this series. The season is over. But I look forward to 100 more Bobby Wilson AB's. Can he stay above .100? Tune in to find out.

Next you're probably going to tell us that a hollow counting stat that predates the first manned landing on the moon is not a great gauge of reliever performance.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 Orf Just wanted to say that, at least once
howeda7 Verified Member Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 What was it about Littel's other outing that made him the choice to call up?
