They somehow provided some value to this team. Littel has no value right now. He simply does not belong in the big league. Belisle is way better than Littel.

Rodney just blew his second consecutive blown save and has looked horrible in the process.. He's paid the big bucks to fail at the job he was hired to do.

Everyone loves the Astudillo story, but it's on the manager to put the players on the field. Neither Littel or Astudillo should have been in the positions the manager/GM placed them in.

You’ll be happy to know that Molly said he is going back to Rochester tomorrow and they are bringing up another reliever.

That is beyond disappointing! The kid has a bad outing and they’re making a scapegoat out of him? Didn’t think the Minnesota Twins organization acted like that! Not a good sign for future call-ups!

I have hope for Littel based on his peripherals thus year. But that was the wrong place and the wrong time. If you need relief help, call up relievers. Or don't send down, a guy like Busenitz, in the first place. McGill for Littel was the logical switch, even if McGill is out of options. Busenitz is a high lev guy, along with 2 or 3 others in Roc- like Duffey.

Probably because his past 14 starts at AA went to the tune of 2.42 ERA. Even in that 5 start sample at AA, he struck out 12.5 K/9, and they were holding guys at AA when they probably should have been at AAA, so the promotion likely wasn't performance based.

The Twins should send Littell back to AAA and have him work on his stuff and see where he is next year. He hasn't looked remotely ready for the majors in a 4 inning sample size, but that shouldn't ruin the rest of his career. (e. g. look at what Randy Rosario is doing for the Cubs after what he did with the Twins/AA last season). Twins rookie starters almost always start off terribly within the past 5 years or so, so I wouldn't give up on Littell yet.

Rosario at least showed signs of brilliance from time to time. I have seen nothing from Littel. He seems fragile. Rosario is also a lefty. They shouldn't let him go. I think the FO traded for Littel and signed Morrison, Wilson and Motter. That's why they got so many chances over others although they have been performing miserably.

Rosario gave up 8 runs in 2.1 innings in his element as a reliever in the majors... and despite the great ERA numbers he actually isn't striking out anybody this season. Odd stuff, but Randy looked bad in his short stint here, just like Littell.

He should feel fortunate because there are players who never get a chance and he already got two. Now if he can keep his ERA within single digit in the major league, he might have a chance to stay since he is one of the FO's favorite to get called up.

I don't know, Littel just looks fragile. I am not sure if he can survive in the big league.
