I am so sick of seeing Rodney on the Twins. I hope they can trade him immediately if not sooner. They got lucky, relatively, so far. No need to press it. It will just hurt his trade value for the foolish GM that trades for him.

How many managers would let someone who's hitting .125 hit for himself in the last inning when the game is so close?

The answer to this question seems likely to decline by one at some point in the next few months.

Man, I was thinking before this trip how much fun it would be for the guys on the team- a week in Chicago- one of the greatest cities in the country for food, fun, and culture, 2 series without leaving town, then a jolly bus trip for 90 minutes to Milwaukee, another fun town.

But then....

But then.... Twins!

MLB debut, hasn't pitched out of the pen since spring training, tied game in the 10th, and this is the guy we go to?

Edit: but, on the other hand, I don't like our other options either.

I really want to wish Littell well but I don't see any way we're going to win this. They still have Hader waiting in the wings.

Dick has to stop thinking everyone is hurt when they are just trying to avoid collision with 1st baseman

Clearly we don't need Busenitz, who won our last extra innings game, or somebody like Duffey, who looked good last time up. We obviously need to make space for Matt Belisle.

Fun with numbers (depending on your idea of fun):

In the quintessential save situation, a one-run lead to start the ninth, Rodney is now only 1 out of 4 in converting those leads into wins and saves.

Not to get technical but Littel is a grizzled vet with an 18.00 ERA

Sucks when the other team gets hits when they count, but your team always needs miracle to get out of an inning.

Yup, you can see him loosening up already:

This game is over. The Twins will be swept in this series. The season is over. But I look forward to 100 more Bobby Wilson AB's. Can he stay above .100? Tune in to find out.

Next you're probably going to tell us that a hollow counting stat that predates the first manned landing on the moon is not a great gauge of reliever performance.
