Circus Boy Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Let's see the rookie come through. EDIT: Yeah, baby! Now it's time for a Kepschlingerdonger. EDIT: Gamecast shows a long fly. Close?

KirbyDome89 Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Belisle warming up in the pen....I guess Molitor doesn't feel like trying to win this game....
Kelly Vance Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 I don't mind them stinking up the joint, but I don't like it when they Bogart it

Close?Mauer’s was to the warning track, Escobar’s was to the wall, Kepler’s didn’t make the center fielder move much.
drock2190 Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 That little fat guy sure is fun to watch!
Kelly Vance Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 This game is great. Reminds me of slow pitch softball in Anchorage, Alaska.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Belisle warming up in the pen....I guess Molitor doesn't feel like trying to win this game....It’s too early for Hildenberger. The only other options are Rogers or Magill. Magill threw like 35 pitches yesterday. He’s likely not available.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 So, by my count 4 players left the game most likely due to the heat. Maybe someone should have considered making this game a night game, when it would have been cooler. If I were running the MLBPA, I would file a grievance.

S. Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 This'll be the time he's lights out.Well, its certainly possible that he'll pass out from the heat, if thats what you mean by lights out.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Who's the fourth? My mistake. Cave left in a double switch. Still, 3 in only 6 innings.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 A K and DP oughta be good right now. EDIT: Nah. But it would be a hoot if the bats come alive and we win this thing. In extras, even.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 And I thought we were gonna play extras. Silly me!
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Am I missing something? Duke hit for himself but didn’t stay in the game to pitch? Why not have Lynn pinch hit? He’s a NL guy. Sure, Duke technically has better hitting numbers, but the last time Duke had an at bat was 4 years ago. I get hanging onto Morrison if someone else goes down, but try some creativity Paul.
jun Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 If you can't even throw strikes, why do you intentionally walk so many hitters? Looking for trouble?
Fritzderkat Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Bottom of the seventh, 9-9 tie, the kind of game these days that is better listened to than watched, mostly because I expect the Cubs to pull it out. Interesting to see that Mejia may not be the savior, any more than Romero, which reminds me--what happened to Berrios last night?Oops--Cubs lead, 10-9.11-9.12-9.13-9!Off Hildenberger, fer cryin' out loud! This could lead to Belisle (the Additive having done his part). One maybe good thing--Astudillo's up. Maybe he can help; he can't be any worse.Another possible sign (of something): Adrianza may be learning how to hit. If so, play him at 2b when Polanco gets back to short.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Just turned on the game, and after 30 seconds of being pleased that it's a tie, suddenly it was not. So if the suspense was killing you... you're welcome. Also, yes I just got here but I'm not letting some phony baloney 'Hildenberger' jersey fool me... that's got be Belisle out there coughing up go-ahead runs.
jud6312 Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 This certainly spiraled out of control quickly.
jun Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 With such a broke bullpen, they should have let Mejia stay 2 more innings.
jud6312 Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Belisle's coming in ... how many of these inherited runners score?

jud6312 Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 With such a broke bullpen, they should have let Mejia stay 2 more innings.More important for Molitor to show he knows what a double switch is.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 This certainly spiraled out of control quickly. Hildenberger killed our lead with a trident.

jud6312 Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Does Bote automatically get demoted for striking out to Belisle or how does that work?
