Motter in RF. WTF?

I need to whip up a new Infielders in the Outfield poster with Motter on it...

 

I've read that Motter is a pretty good defensive infielder, so seeing him premier as a starter in the outfield is pretty disappointing. Can we get Cave back up here and DFA Grossman?

Motter is a German word, meaning "Kepler's backup" :)

Actually when I saw he was out there, I added an F word behind Motter. Worked well!

When they coined the phrase 'Muderers Row', I don't think this is what they had in mind? Well if nothing else, the clamor to move Dozier into a middle of the order hitter has been assuaged.

You know, an actual "murderer's row" might just be awaiting execution, and feeling pretty despondent...

I thought Kepler has been hitting lefties better than righties this season, why is he not in the lineup tonight? Molitor gets creative again? Play to lose?

He is hitting lefties better, but he's also hitting .087 in his last seven games and .137 in June.

Just quoting because that lineup deserves to appear over and over in this thread.

 

I used this reference for something else once, but I'm reminded again of that Seinfeld episode when Kramer gets a hot tip at the racetrack.  To paraphrase: "Motter's in RF?"

 

"You heard me.  His mother was a Motter.  His father's a Motter."

 

I'm betting on Motter to do something extraordinary.  Plus his name is a mishmash of MOokiee BeTTs KeplER.

I hate Sale, too, but we used to own him more often than not when his Sox were White.
