Yeah, kind of. With a couple squeezed ones, too.

 

Like I said, he needs to just attack. They know he has the wipe out curve, let it get in their heads, and hard to trust Garver with a curve in the dirt in a big spot. Go mostly heaters tonight. IMO. :)

Would it be considered in bad form to mention Chris Sale has a PERFECT GAME in progress through three?

 

Some people consider it bad luck to mention a PERFECT GAME while it's on going. I'm not sure I buy into the supersticion about mentioning a NO HITTER or PERFECT GAME during the event. I think mentioning a PERFECT GAME as it's happening is probably ok.

There is a big difference between Berrios and Sale. I get that there is a big age gap, but man, Berrios would be like the fourth starter on the Red Sox.

Honest question looking for an answer: How does the shifting affect defensive metrics like zone rating?

 

For example, Escobar just shifted to basically behind second base. Let’s say the hitter squibbed one down the third base line for a hit. Does that negatively affect Escobar’s stats as a ball he didn’t get to in his “zone” or do they take his actual placement into consideration?

idk, 3 scoreless innings against a lineup averaging 5 + runs per game. I’d call that pretty good.
