Circus Boy Verified Member Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Twenty minutes since the last post. Wow.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Per the radio guys, Mauer has exactly 116 hits in each of Comerica, Progressive, and whatever they are calling the chunk of concrete in Chicago these days (editorial comment mine). (Correction — Kauffman, not the unmentionable. Only 107 in cementville, but they are there in 9 days.)
jun Verified Member Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 I really don't see the Twins sign Dozier next season, especially for his asking price. He is absolutely pathetic at the plate.

jun Verified Member Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 It has become obvious that Dozier hardly gets a hit when RISP, that's why he likes to bat leadoff so that his stats might have a chance to look better on paper. That's the reason why I am not a fan of his.
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Back to back terrible at-bats by GarverTwins need to trade for a catcher if they're going to contend
jun Verified Member Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Catcher is a big black hole in the lineup and they have not done anything to improve. Astudillo is an extreme contact hitter. Runners on 2nd and 3rd and no out, he should be the perfect one for that situation. I am really really really tired of seeing Garver and Wilson make automatic outs at the plate and on the base path. Wilson needs to be released and Garver needs to be a backup or demoted.
bighat Verified Member Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Just checking the box...10 hits but just 1 run? Not sure I want to know the details.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 All strikes, Joe. All three of them. Just go ahead and f-ing stand there!
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Just checking the box...10 hits but just 1 run? Not sure I want to know the details. Morrison and Dozier's spot in the lineup came around.......
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Today has been one of the worst RISP days I've ever seen... and we've seen a lot of them this year. That's 18 LOB (left on base) today. Dozier, Morrison, Garver, and Adrianza have been brutal today with at least 3 runners left aboard each. Just terrible offense, even though we've had 10 hits.
jun Verified Member Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Just checking the box...10 hits but just 1 run? Not sure I want to know the details.Dozier, Garver and Adrianza all contributed on this incredible effort and accomplishment. They are just so worthless. Please please please get those people off the lineup. They really make a minor leaguer look like a major league ace.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Grossman has left the game with an "injured head". I didn't see what happened to him, but something might have happened when he was at 3rd base.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Well, nice inning for Rogers with 3 Ks. We need more of that from him.
jun Verified Member Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Back to back terrible at-bats by GarverTwins need to trade for a catcher if they're going to contendWhen he does get on the base, he still makes an easy out on the base path. What can I say? A pathetic baseball player?
jtkoupal Verified Member Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 So the Twins streak of beating Cy Young candidates is over... Luckily, Sale & Price are scheduled to pitch at Target Field this week!! Oh wait... lefties :/
jun Verified Member Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 All strikes, Joe. All three of them. Just go ahead and f-ing stand there! He gets a really nice paycheck for just standing there though. I don't know how many times he's been watching strike three in his career since he's probably the one who swings at pitches the least in the whole league.
jun Verified Member Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Oliver Perez is really a great found for the Indians bullpen. At least the Indians have been trying to get better. What about the Twins? Getting Motter on the roster???

What about the Twins? Getting Motter on the roster??? I don't know that Perez is a good example of that. He has been pretty bad, and bouncing from team to team since the last half of 2015 because of that. Cleveland has gotten lucky that he is doing well this year, I think. He was not a bet like Reed, that looked to continue to pitch well.....

There are two types of LOB stats.... individual and team. That is why it is in the box score for individuals.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Not their day today Friday and Saturday were.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 How many times this season have the twins had 2nd and 3rd with nobody out and have failed to score? I’m thinking at least 4 or 5 times. Do you realize how hard that is to do?
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Berrios vs Sale on Tuesday, be there or be square! Bring your fun faces!

jun Verified Member Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 You can say that, but don't have toSure, be Minnesota nice right? If being nice can help the team win, I would do that.
