Following on gamecast, was the play to close to overturn or what?

I personally think it was pretty clear that he was safe, but I can see why they didn't overturn it. Edited by wsnydes

He was almost but not quite safe enough for the call to be overturned.

How deflating that has to be. You pitch well and do what you're asked to to in games and yet you still can't get on the mound for over a week and counting. That's ridiculous. Edited by wsnydes

Agreed. Still, I'd guess Busenitz would trade places with him.

Same goes for him. That has to be deflating. He's at least playing though, but he should be up with the big club.

 

Unfortunately, that also means that he'd be sitting idle in the bullpen too.
