Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 4 out of 5 dentists recommend it.I thought I saw recently that flossing has been said to be pointless. The actual act, not the dance.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 7, 2018 Author Posted June 7, 2018 How many silent treatments do you get in a week on average? That's a bad thing?
gil4 Verified Member Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 I forgot to say, as Mrs Chief and I were getting ready to go out to dinner tonight, she kind of caught me by surprise. She was standing in front of the mirror, looking at herself, and she turned to me and said, "Honey, I look fat, and old. I need you to say something nice about me." Well, like I said, I was kind of caught off guard. At a loss for words. "Well, your eyesight is as good as ever, honey!" was the best I could come up with.I thought we sent your jokes back down to Rochester after the doubleheader yesterday. (That one was pretty darned funny, but I will probably end up sharing it with my wife and she won't find it funny at all.)
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 1. But it lasts the whole week.ftfy. Don't overexplain the joke.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 A little more chalant, Eddie, if you please.
gil4 Verified Member Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 1. But it lasts the whole week. She has to take some time off to nag, doesn't she?
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 I try to avoid hyperbole but the Twins resemble a little league team today. Far too many gaffes for a major league team.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 I try to avoid hyperbole but the Twins resemble a little league team today. Far too many gaffes for a major league team. A not uncommon trait during the Molitor years, if you ask me.
jun Verified Member Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Willians Astudillo played 3B today for the Rochester Red Wings, he seems like a Escobar type of player.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 A not uncommon trait during the Molitor years, if you ask me.I have to agree. Even with all the success last year, I was still very unsatisfied with Molitor as the coach. I know this is a young team but Molitor seems to have little control of the players. Also predictably bad with the bullpen moves (and I know you are always all over him for keeping starters in too late). The one thing I like more about 2018 Molitor is that he's cut down on the bunts.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 7, 2018 Author Posted June 7, 2018 A not uncommon trait during the Molitor years, if you ask me.I think we need either an "agree" or a "true" button because it just doesn't seem right to like that comment.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Gladden: “If they don’t score, it’s not a costly error.”SEE? Case closed. //
S. Verified Member Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 ftfy. Don't overexplain the joke.I figured there was a chance that anyone watching this game was drunk and/or stupid.

IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Gladden: “If they don’t score, it’s not a costly error.”Gee, I guess it wasn’t costly then. Other than that Hildenberger had to face two extra batters, leaving him less available for tomorrow, and the lineup turns over. Sorry, but errors are pretty much always costly to some degree.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 I figured there was a chance that anyone watching this game was drunk and/or stupid.Yes. I’m not watching.

To take 3 of 4from the division leader and then lay a dud like this, it happens a lot it seems.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Will miguel sano ever stop swinging at that pitch? Ever?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 I figured there was a chance that anyone watching this game was drunk and/or stupid. See, I figure there's a chance that someone watching this game ISN'T drunk or stupid. I'm an optimist, if nothing else.
gil4 Verified Member Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 I thought I saw recently that flossing has been said to be pointless. The actual act, not the dance. I remember hearing about that. I think the ADA announced they were dropping the recommendation because the studies hadn't actually been done to confirm the benefit. I assumed it was so obviously a good practice that he studies weren't needed. It's like telling kids "don't put your hand on the hot stove or you will get burned." "I'm not sure I believe you, dad. Have the double-blind studies been done to verify that" "Fine, I'm dropping my recommendation."
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Sano struck out swinging? How could this be? Hopefully Grossman can improve upon that...
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 I am virulantly opposed to a robot strike zone. C B Buckner makes it hard, but I persevere.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 7, 2018 Author Posted June 7, 2018 Sano struck out swinging? How could this be?Hopefully Grossman can improve upon that...I think Grossman was a bit hopeless with that AB..
gil4 Verified Member Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 I figured there was a chance that anyone watching this game was drunk and/or stupid. That's not necessarily an either/or situation. Some can do both at the same time. (For the record, I'm not drunk.)
Blake Verified Member Posted June 7, 2018 Author Posted June 7, 2018 I'm out. I'll check the game score when I do the thread tomorrow. Salud!Slanche!Feliz Navidad!
