There's just no worse team to be completely owned by than the yankees. I'd rather be owned by the white sox.

Molitor says we're "snake bit". Right.

Edited my post: I wasn't referring to you personally when I mentioned the "curse" stuff. I'm just annoyed right now (like most Twins fans).

Bring on the Reds?

I think its more like "consumed" than bit.

man, i'm still just sitting here. you should never be this stunned when you completely expect something to happen and it does.

. As General Trimble said to General Lee in the movie Gettysburg, “A blind man should’ve seen it”.

I can't believe that I'm saying this...but I can't hang this game on him.  I agree, he's not a good manager but aside from putting Morrison at 1B, it's not his fault that Rodney imploded.

To me Morrison is no better at first than Sano is, and even if he is it isn't as large of a gap as Sano and Escobar at 3rd. In my mind Escobar is more athletic and doesn't fall over on that first play and there is an out. Again Escobar is more athletic than Sano and it makes it to that second ball faster. But I'm also probably biased because I really am not fan of Molitor. And on the other hand you also cant have your closer throwing pitches down the middle to a hitter like Sanchez. All around poor effort for all Twins the whole series.

Believe me, I'm no fan of Molitor either.  The correct substitution at 1B would be Mauer.  Yeah, he'd have to give up the DH but Mauer had just hit in the top half of the inning.  If you're going to sub for defensive purposes, you should probably use your best defenders.  Maintaining the DH in the 9th shouldn't even come into consideration when you have the lead.

Other than that, I would have PH Rosario for Grossman but that's minor in my view.  I think Molitor handled his bullpen correctly today.  The team didn't take advantage of their opportunities offensively and Rodney couldn't hold the lead.  That last sentence is a microcosm of the first month of the season.

I totally agree Mauer should have been brought in, and I also agree that Molitor did a surprising good job with the bullpen today.

Glad that the front office addressed the bullpen in the offseason.  There's a reason why Rodney and Duke were available for bargain prices.  Reed the same way.  These guys have been trash all month and makes me long for the days of Craig Breslow and Jon Rauch.

How bad is it that when I left my car to go to the field for my game, it was 3-1 in the 9th and Dozier had just committed the error and I knew when I got back to the car, I'd see the loss notification on my phone?

I stopped reading after that. Not sure what Addison Reed you have been watching. Save for one pitch, he’s been pretty much lights out.

He’s pitched in 11 of 20 games which is WAY too many. And already 13 IP. 20 games. 13 IP.

That puts him (and Ryan Pressly btw) on pace for 105 IP. Concerning is an understatement.
