This is why we should have pulled Jake. can only play with fire for so long.

Why is Rosario in the game?

Which overtaxed reliever would you put in? Pressly again? Hildenberger who had nothing the other night?

Better question: why was Grossman in the game?

Odorizzi is about to lose us this game. Yay

You can't win a game with zero runs, and there's nothing Odorizzi can do about that...

Odorizzi seems to be doing fine, what's the problem? He's just in the 80s in the pitch count, he's good for another inning. I'm not in a rush to get to the bullpen and see them for another 4+ innings.

I'd go Magill, Rogers, Reed, Rodney.

In a perfect world you have Businetiz here instead of hughes.

***Lack of being able to generate any offense against Wade Leblanc is about to lose us this game.

I disagree.  Hits happen.  Once the leadoff double is in play you gotta get real careful with your pitches...if it takes him 20 to get out of the inning so be it.  Odorizzi can strike guys out and if takes him keeping balls to the perimeter of the zone using up the rest of his pitch count and forcing guys to hit tough pitches or make weak contact that's fine.

I'd rather let him keep going then bring in a reliever cold to face guys on base.  I think that's much tougher.  You might get burned, but we've seen pulling a guy with runners on get burned and it happens all the time.

I trust Odorizzi to get outs.

Only have a few minutes to peek at the game on a busy day- and it has to be these few minutes.....

Correct. It is. But you gotta adapt to situations in the game. Odorizzi is always an adventure in these situations. I hope i'm wrong, but i've seen this movie before. Makes me uneasy

3.38 era.  He could very well give up a run.   More times than not over a season he won't.  Bringing in a reliever might get the guy out this time too.  I've seen the movie happen where it also goes the other way.  Trust your guys.

Odorizzi's got the stuff to strike guys out and is comfortable pitching with guys on base and making sure guys don't get hard contact with guys on.  Again sometimes guys will score.  But more times than not they won't.  Bringing in a guy cold out of the flow of the game with runners on in my opinion is a much harder spot.   Odorizzi's been pitching well and they're his guys.  He doesn't want them to score.  I trust that .

Can we square up a few pitches for the love of god? High schoolers have more velocity than this guy

This is the "Big Shot" ride, atop the Stratosphere Casino in Vegas. Mrs Chief and I just got back from Vegas, and while there Mrs Chief and I decided to try it. It's billed as a "Once in a lifetime experience."

I tell you what...we'll never do that again.
