Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2017 Author Posted August 30, 2017 FWIW, the Spanish announcer did the same thing. Apparently it looked very well hit from the announcers' box. Nah... he could hear Dick from the next booth over and got led astray USAFChief, MN_ExPat, snepp and 2 others 5
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 It looked to me like Buxton jumped too early on that fly at the wall. It seemed like the ball hit the wall below where his glove was. Did it look like that to you?He had a bead on the ball but was guessing about the wall. He might have thought he had one more step back and then suddenly corrected. My conclusion: this park is too small for Buxton. MN_ExPat, snepp and twinsnorth49 3
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 If you call Rosario out on a bender in that place, you have to ring up Smith on a fastball in the same spot.Nah, that call on Rosie was just a flat-out mistake by the ump. Shouldn't compound the error by expanding the strike zone that much. 70charger 1
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 What was the response when one windmill asked the other windmill "What kind of music do you like?"
Danchat Verified Member Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 Twins seem to be better at getting in runs as of late. Let's hope they can keep this up.

Shouldn't compound the error by expanding the strike zone that much. You're right, you don't do that. But your eye line when you're back there and that trained should be gauged to the point that both pitches are strikes. That being said, he royally hosed Shields on what should have been strike 3 to Polanco and he just has zero consistency thus far.
70charger Verified Member Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 He didn't slide that time did he?

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 Not really sure why Ervin is still pitching with 2 on, nobody out in the 7th.

ashbury Verified Member Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 This is the second time tonight that Kepler has taken a very conservative approach to a fly ball at the wall. Maybe I've gotten spoiled, but I thought he would go to the wall and make the catch, both times.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 Sorry I'm late. What did I miss, other than half the summer? We traded Kintzler, Buxton is taking over baseball, Big Sexy is indeed big, and Mauer can't hit to right. twinsnorth49, MN_ExPat, LaBombo and 1 other 4
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 Still, I'm not sure I like the idea of Hildenberger pitching every game. Save something for September before his arm falls off, ya know? LaBombo 1
