Good day, and welcome to today’s game thread.

 

1. It’s a beautiful day for a ball game. Expected weather at game time: Partly cloudy, 72º, very light winds.

 

2. I’m looking for Berrios to have another good start today. Let’s hope he gets more support than he got last Tuesday against the Padres.

 

3. Why doesn’t Molitor consistently put the team leader in OBP in the leadoff spot?

4.Today is the 50th anniversary of a perfect game for a Twins starting pitcher. Sort of. Dean Chance pitched 5 perfect innings in a rain-shortened 2-0 win.

 

5. Today is the 48th anniversary of Billy Martin sending Dave Boswell to the hospital to get 20 stitches. And some people considered him to be a player’s manager.

Well, looks like it is time to watch the National and the Cubs nothing like getting down 3-0 off the bat - Berrios seems to be a little off today.

I know the Twins pitching is terrible and we should sell all our assets and plan to compete in 2021, but someone tell me something good Castro has done since the first two weeks of the season.

I turned the game on just in time to see Berrios hit a batter and then Gallo launch a baseball into orbit.

 

After that, I saw a collection of lackluster at bats by the Twins.

 

Not good.

 

Very disappointing.
