Wait, so Texas challenged the run and we didn't challenge the play at 2nd?

And now Dozier is pulled for what?

It appeared to me that Grossman was tagged before Escobar touched the plate. Of course, it also appeared that Grossman was safe. So, I think both umpires on the field made wrong calls.

So, it all evens out!

or something like that

Interesting development. Dozier out of the game. No injury that seems likely.

Could he have been traded?

Hmmm. Either way, if he's traded or DL'd the only other infielder on the 40-man is Vielma.

Interesting hypothesis. I suppose we'll know soon enough.

From yarni's facebook feed.

Today in Twins history:

Andrew Albers made his MLB debut in 2013. He came out to start the 9th inning looking for a complete game shutout. He gave up a lead off single and then a one out walk. That was it. He was relieved by Casey Fien who quickly retired the final two batters.

A week later Albers would finish the deal, spinning a two hitter.

After that, it was pretty much downhill for Albers' career. But, he had a fantastic start.

Or, if he's traded, they can add a player to the 40-man, either from within or the player traded for. I wouldn't think that he'd be traded for another infielder though. Of course this is all just random stream-of-consciousness rambling on my part.

They wouldn't necessarily bring up an infielder. Unless they expect Sano to miss more time as well. They still have plenty.

"He does a pretty good job of getting his glove close to it."

Great insight, Roy.

Target Field is a great stadium except for one thing. The line from home plate to center field is almost exactly due east. That makes it a bad sun field for the players.

How is that a double?

The same way the ball that went in and out of his glove the other day was also a double*

*the scorekeeper is drunk as hell

Dick just said that Dozier left due to illness and is day to day.

edit: I'm too slow apparently.
