As long as he continues to provide that defense.  He already stole one hit in the gap on the leadoff batter of this game.  The ball he ran down in the RF gap last night was one no one else is getting to.  They can keep working with him to help him at the plate.  And you might be able to hide his bad bat.

That's been a thing throughout the majors this holiday weekend.  Players that like to wear the high socks will have the stripes on one leg and the blue field with stars on the other.

 

Frankly, I'll be glad when today is over and everyone can go back to wearing the normal uniforms and colors.  These holiday getups have jumped the shark in my mind.

These announcers crack me up.  That play was good not spectacular.  It was a one hopper one step to his right.  No need to go down to a knee.  It was a routine play.  They'd go nuts if they watched Arenado play 3B.  Richard's head would pop right off his shoulders.

I like the uniforms.  And since our normal Team colors fall right in line with the colors of the flag, it's perfect. A few days out of the year to celebrate the holiday works for me.

Molitor's tutoring on base stealing is paying off. Buxton had a good lead, read the pitcher's move, and got a very good jump. Easy steal because he did the preparation.

I know it's patriotic and all but yeah, the socks are a bit much. Maybe blue with some stars or something but the barber shop effect needs to go.
