David HK Verified Member Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 Had such a crazy day yesterday, there was no time to follow the game- and I feel really lucky about that. What a retro-2016 display that seemed to be. Today is an easier day, so I can check in and out, but....Please, pleeeeeeease, don't waste Ervin on a 2-3 inning washout! Pleeeeeeeeeease!

David HK Verified Member Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 and the sun sets on another day in first place ...I am an eternal pessimist. I'm overjoyed to actually see the Twinks in this position at present, but decades of following Twinkie Ball tells me it's a fleeting thing. How fleeting, I'm not sure at this point, but I'm toying with the idea of an over/under date for the last time we see 1st place this season. Call me a Cassandra, but I'm thinking it's somewhere toward the end of this month. But hey- the most encouraging thing is that maybe, just maybe, we're seeing the debuts of the crowd that's going to do some contending in the next few years. I really want to see some of those young (and not getting any younger) BP arms up here by around AS break, as well as another starting option or 2 (Mejia and....?) I don't care if we take lumps through the dog days, but let's not do it with the likes of Belisle and Breslow and Tepesch and (insert place-holder name here). I also wanna see a long-term commitment from the dugout to give more ABs to Vargas and Kep (against LHP), and less from Ol' Joe in the 2 or 4 hole (especially against LHP).

ashbury Verified Member Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 and the sun sets on another day in first place ...Mrs Ash and I enjoyed chicken dinnah tonight, for what that's worth.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 So if it is a doubleheader tomorrow, what time does it start, and what's televised?
Danchat Verified Member Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 Twins are calling up Drew Rucinski as the 26th man for tomorrow's game. Exciting stuff.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 Game officially postponed So... I didn't miss anything? I can live with that... I'll try to pay better attention tomorrow. I just hope there won't be a test at the end of the season...
gil4 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 He's no ace...Careful - that was the subject of a recent debate that ranked up there with tastes great/less filling for being fierce and irrational.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 The of the double header is here. (probably sounds better in subtitles) I mean to have surplus attentiom for both, but i may end up only breaking even...
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 Careful - that was the subject of a recent debate every thread ever that ranked up there with tastes great/less filling for being fierce and irrational.
