KirbyDome89 Verified Member Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 Thats cute. So throwing at somebody and starting a fight only draws a fine, but shoving a player gets you a game. Hmmmm... I didn't realize Roger Goodell was commissioner of MLB too....
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 Well, I'd be darned if next time the Twins face Detroit, they don't throw behind Cabrera
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 I get being ejected, he was in an altercation, but the two people who picked the fight get nothing while the guy defending himself gets a suspension? That's BS.

If Sano has to sit for a game, so should McCann. The dynamite doesn't go off without someone lighting the fuse. It wasn't even that big of a deal, fire cracker is probably the better term. Sano might actually have some ground to stand on with this.
Taildragger8791 Verified Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 I'm just waiting to hear how long Tom Brady's suspension will be for this.
Taildragger8791 Verified Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 But yeah, it's awfully disproportionate that you can chuck a weapon at a guy and have your buddy shove him in the face for mildly reacting, and THAT guy is the one who gets suspended out of all that.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 There shouldn't be ANY suspensions over this.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 It was a heated moment where nothing really happened. No suspensions for anybody. Just get on with baseball already.
drjim Provisional Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 There shouldn't be ANY suspensions over this. Agree. One game just seems pointless.
Loosey Verified Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 A suspension is too much for anybody involved in that altercation. Sano yelled at Boyd and made a "threatening gesture" AKA pointed at him. If McCann didn't get involved (I understand why McCann got in his way) Sano would have cooled off in about 2 more seconds, I doubt he was going to be charging the mound. I am fine with the ejections, but suspensions and fines for that is dumb in my opinion.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Agree. One game just seems pointless. For me, it's not about being pointless, it's about being undeserved. If he deserves a suspension, then so do McCann and Boyd. If they don't, then neither does Sano. And, further, who called for that pitch and who executed it? That is more deserving, imo, than Sano defending himself. That said, I concur with Chief and Brock. No one should get a suspension here.
