Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 I was doing more than one thing at a time, so it's little wonder if something got lost in translation. The (Jewish? Yiddish? whatever) quote I know of is, "from my lips to God's ear". You took that and, I presume, adapted it to the Internet, where one types with one's fingers. So if it's from anyone's finger to Molitor's ear, I'd be concerned there might be saliva included: i.e. the Wet Willie. And then I remembered a band by that name from the '70s so I grabbed that as the visual instead of a literal one. I thought I was going along with your lead, but then it got a little too complex to digest. I understood right away So you can mark that in your score column.

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Here comes Anibal Sanchez... maybe we can score 8 runs on him this time around.
glunn Community Moderator Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 This would be a good time for Kepler to practice beating the shift.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Chris Gimenez pitches the 9th?NO! I don't want there to be any reason to argue there's still a 13 man staff!
70charger Verified Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 The Spanish language broadcast just called him "Maximiliano Kepler." I'm not sure that's right.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 "wet willie" Geez, I shoulda got that. Well played. Time for a nap.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 It's not easy to fill that kind of time Dinger. I was impressed. Especially when you are doing both play by play and color commentator at the same time. Where the hell was Glunn?
wavedog Verified Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Sanchez is doing his best Gibson impersonation.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 The Spanish language broadcast just called him "Maximiliano Kepler." I'm not sure that's right. It sounds cool though.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 I understood right away So you can mark that in your score column. Yeah, but: the bad news is I missed two innings typing up the long version. / The good news is, I missed two innings.

70charger Verified Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 It sounds cool though. That it does. And I looked up his name, and it actually is Maximilian. So there's that. I'll probably start calling him "Maximiliano Kepler" now.
Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted April 23, 2017 Author Posted April 23, 2017 Hicks. These guys...

Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Hicks. These guys...... (Terry Ryan) ****ed up by putting him on waivers last season.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 There's not really an excuse if the new brass is surprised our staff is this awful.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Hicks. These guys...I literally have no idea what your last two posts mean. But I enjoyed the parts of the broadcast I heard
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Should have had Gimenez start the 9th.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 ... (Terry Ryan) ****ed up by putting him on waivers last season.I discount any statistics put up against the Twins. Otherwise we'd have traded for John Ryan Murphy.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 If it wasn't official before, the rotation and bullpen have exploded. And we're only 18 games in... Though to be fair I expected it to blow up a little earlier.
70charger Verified Member Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 The Twins are doing the best they possibly can to give John Hicks a job in the major leagues. ...well, aside from the whole cutting John Hicks thing last year.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 This has been an embarrassing home stand.
Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted April 23, 2017 Author Posted April 23, 2017 Just finished the multi-step account creation and login process. Am I supposed to be hearing something?Nope. Reached my 3-hour limit like four innings ago.
