Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 It's going to be 70 degrees tonight in Cleveland. It's November 1st. The average high temperature is supposed to be 49 degrees. What is wrong with this world?

biggentleben Verified Member Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 My wife and I took our dogs and foster baby on a walk today for a couple miles. I was in shorts and a polo. In South Dakota. On November 1st. Oh, and go Cubs go!!
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 This fall has been insane from a weather perspective. It's still 90 degrees consistently down here in Austin. My brother still living in Minneapolis has sent pictures of him golfing in late October. Yet they say down here it's going to be a colder winter than normal. I'll believe it when I see it.
Shane Wahl Verified Member Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Cubs fans are nuts around here. The Cubs have always been my second favorite team by far, dating back to the wgn days as a kid. Also, Chief Wahoo needs to be eradicated. Go Cubs. Schwarber batting second is smart here.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Also, Chief Wahoo needs to be eradicated. Not exactly the word I'd use, but yes, get rid of that logo. Use a picture of Gandhi and Nehru instead.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Bring back the Cleveland Spiders! This could be the furry, fun loving mascot that kids would love to take a picture with... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v227/BostonFaninMichigan/clevelandspider.jpg
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 I want Cleveland to get this thing over with ... tonight! So the off-season can truly begin.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 I thought I would be rooting for the Cubs, but when the games come on, I keep rooting for CLE. Makes no sense, but I guess caring about sports at all makes no sense.

But by saying I'm cheering on Cleveland, I get to play the contrarian, and I like that.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Is it me? Or are there more fans cheering for the Cubs than Cleveland in the crowd tonight?
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 You can't have communication issues in the OF Cleveland... Yuuuge mistake there.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 So.....OF defense matters, I guess...
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Arrieta's beard game is STRONG tonight.
jimmer Verified Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 So.....OF defense matters, I guess...Nah. Can't be.

spinowner Provisional Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Is it me? Or are there more fans cheering for the Cubs than Cleveland in the crowd tonight?I heard a factoid on the radio this morning that Cleveland was 28th in attendance this season, ahead of only Oakland and Tampa Bay. And it's an easy drive from Chicago to Cleveland.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Almost another blunder in the OF for Cleveland. Do we have to remind them of the little league rule of calling out "I got it"?
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 And we'll see you tomorrow night for game 7. This one is over.
blindeke Verified Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 well holy crap Cubbies are rolling.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Well, sometimes the pitching change works, and sometimes it doesn't. 7-0. And we'll see you tomorrow night.
blindeke Verified Member Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 And we'll see you tomorrow night for game 7. This one is over. yep it should be one helluva game too. Bullpens will be rested and everyone will be juiced.

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Cleveland and the Cubs have both done their work. They both deserve the title. By this point it all depends on how the ball bounces tomorrow night and neither should hang their heads!

Just hasn't been overly exciting.
