Ultimate trivia question I found.

 

Joe Maddon and Terry Francona lead their teams into Game 7 of the 2016 World series.

 

The Cubs have come back from a 3-1 series deficit to win two games and force a Game 7. In postseason history, including AL and NL LCS, teams down 3-1 that win Games 5 and 6 have a solid 12-4 record in that next Game 7, so momentum is on the side of the Cubbies.

 

However, if Cleveland wins, it will be the first time in eight postseasons that a team has regrouped and won a Game 7 after losing games 5 and 6.

 

Question. Who were the two managers the last time a team in Cleveland's situation won Game 7?

Here's a bit of trivia. The last time the NFL had two ties in one season, the Indians lost the World Series in 7 games.

Yeah ... that last part, pretty much. I don't really care. It's only a game. But by saying I'm cheering on Cleveland, I get to play the contrarian, and I like that.

For my Mom ... much older than ... growing up in northern MN she was a Cardinals fan. I think there was a minor league team nearby as well as some radio broadcasts.

The thing is, in the last year of the Spiders' existence, 1899, they had a record of 30-124. The team's owners also owned another team, the St. Louis Browns, and they transferred the best Cleveland players to St. Louis. This is what prompted the rule that an owner may not own more than one team. That's not really the kind of legacy that one would want to perpetuate.

I knew about the Cleveland Spiders infamous record, but did not know their owner ran 2 teams. No way that would fly today, but very interesting history!

 

The Cleveland mascot and team name have to go... Toss a dart at a list of names and it will be better than what they have currently.
