Game Thread: Twins vs. Tigers, 9/22/16 @ 7:10pm CST

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Centeno with a dinger to half the deficit.

Not bad...

[Reider]

Yeah, I agree with Dick and Bert. I don't think I'd rule Polanco out as a SS just yet. He doesn't have a canon of an arm, but he can throw guys out from the grass, so I'd just let him keep playing and see how things go. He doesn't need to be overly flashy, he just needs to make plays.

Wow, you go Bux.

[twinsnorth49]

20 feet from me...should have dove.

[ashbury]

BUXTON!!!!

[70charger]

Taking Verlander deep. Gotta love it.

[David HK]

Zoinks!  I just check in on a class break in time to see young Bux tag that tater.

It must have been me, to account for that awesomeness.

[ashbury]

I didn't see you. You should have waved.

[operation mindcrime]

Awesome!

I also saw James B whiff on that throw from Dozey, and Esco not cut off the misbegotten relay.

I hereby withdraw my claim of awesomeness-inspiration.

And as I typed that, I saw Centeno do what he just did- twice.  Sheesh.... that was probably me too.  I'm going back to class now.

For Heaven's sake, this team....

[wavedog]

At 2-2 I was wondering how we would choose to lose. Bullpen blowup, Keystone cops defense or failed bunt attempt. Maybe all of the above.

[David HK]

Just a thought, and a query-- has the technology been evolved to the point that we can create a hybrid catcher?  Like Centeno's left handed bat, and Zuke's blocking of balls in the dirt?  And then we can get an arm from... um...  aw heck, I dunno.

[operation mindcrime]

The Braves beat the Marlins! The magic number is 3 for the #1 pick. We deserve this so much for the suffering we've endured this year!!!! \m/

[twinsnorth49]

I didn't see you. You should have waved.

I didn't see you either.

[Tovar12]

Wow--nice play Escobar for the DP.

[David HK]

Ouch!  That looked like a pretty gnarly stinger Kepler got in the corner there.

Well, I guess we can put ABW in for the last couple of innings.

Oops, I guess not.

Thanks, Rob/Molly and co.

Dr. Frankenstein here, did you call?

[ashbury]

Sano makes that unassisted DP, right?

[David HK]

Wow, Esco-  a great play.

Only wish, somehow, that it made up for the brain fade on that relay throw.

But still, a great play.

[ashbury]

I didn't see you either.

I should have waved to my computer screen.

[David HK]

Dr. Frankenstein here, did you call?

Yes, and I must insist we also use the ears from your avatar, there.

[David HK]

Sano makes that unassisted DP, right?

Yes-- and his dive also registers on the Richter scale.

Nyuk, nyuk.

[wavedog]

Ending the season like we began it - losing and striking out a lot

[Platoon]

I just saw the EE play. Any chance we could add Iglesias? His base running would be a fit for this team!

[twinsnorth49]

I should have waved to my computer screen.

Duh

[jimmer]

What happened to Kepler?

[Platoon]

Ran into the sidewall chasing a triple, looks like a sore neck.

[USAFChief]

20 feet from me...should have dove.

Hard to dive when you're already flat on your back.

[jimmer]

I gave it a 'like' because you gave me info, not because I liked the info.

Thanks

Thanks for providing my excuse.
