Game Thread: Twins @ NY Mets 9-17 6:10 PM CT

[Aggies7]

THANK YOU

Looks like he should be working on the highway.

[Aggies7]

Well who saw that coming?

[LaBombo]

Dude hits a ball a foot outside and a foot off the ground, you just gotta tip your hat.

[Danchat]

Oh, pressley. Why are we even attempting to pitch to cespedes?

I have to admit we'd be doing better with you as the manager [for this game].

[Craig Arko]

Good night.

[Aggies7]

I have to admit we'd be doing better with you as the manager [for this game].

Finally someone recognized my great talent. Think I'll throw my resume in

[Guest]

Oh, pressley. Why are we even attempting to pitch to cespedes?

You mean the one guy who can really hurt you?

[ashbury]

Dude hits a ball a foot outside and a foot off the ground, you just gotta tip your hat.

Either that, or next time you just gotta put one in his ribs for diving out there.

[ashbury]

Good night.

I admire your optimism but we don't know that yet.

[Aggies7]

You mean the one guy who can really hurt you?

Especially when he fell behind and the not so grandyman on deck. Thought it would be a no brainer.

[twinssporto]

Rogers has a nasty curve ball.

[Aggies7]

Rogers has a nasty curve ball.

Yes he does.

[70charger]

Well played, Rogers.

[ashbury]

Nice nice sequence against Granderson by Rogers and Centeno.

[wavedog]

Same story all season. Santana deserves some Cy Young votes for pitching so well for this club.

[Rosterman]

Well, who ARE our setup guys. I would choose Kintzler over Pressley. And why are we trying to make Pressley the guy with the most appearances in the majors. We just have no set substance in our bullpen. Not like we need a closer.

I admire Ervin Santana for pitching his heart out every game for the Twins. If any guy deserved to be traded during July to a contender, it was him. Why no one grabbed him up is beyond me. They could've unloaded a bunch, probably 60t guys who had no place left in their organization for him and the Twins would've fell for it!

[70charger]

Well played, Rogers.

Also this.

[ashbury]

Thought it would be a no brainer.

Turned out it was.

Next time I want a brainer from them.

[twinssporto]

Well played, Rogers.

Why don't we send him out there more often?

[Aggies7]

Well played, Rogers.

It certainly is a beautiful day in his neighborhood

[Guest]

Especially when he fell behind and the not so grandyman on deck. Thought it would be a no brainer.

Well, at least Rogers wasn't brought in to face Cespedes.

[LaBombo]

Either that, or next time put one in his ribs for diving out there.

Both? Do A, and B is more likely to catch him off guard.

I think Sphinx from Mystery Men had something for this.

[Aggies7]

I'm calling a Vargas home run.

[twinssporto]

I'm calling a Vargas home run.

Me too.

[Pardon My Dinger]

Whoa. 7 home runs in 33 games. Why do we jerk kennys around again?

[twinssporto]

Or a grounder to second.

I'm calling a Dozier homer.

[Aggies7]

Edit: or a weak grounder to the second baseman who was playing 5 feet in front of the track

[Aggies7]

Whoa. 7 home runs in 33 games. Why do we jerk kennys around again?

Because we're jerks

[70charger]

Chargois might pitch the bottom of the ninth, unless they have a lead to protect, in which case they'll put in the less talented pitcher.

[ashbury]

I can't say I liked the look of Chargois sighing heavily as he warms up in the bullpen for the ninth.
