Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Good gracious, who would have thought a pitcher on our team would be a bad bunted?
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Let's see if they can manage to plate one this time...Nope.

Amazing! It wasn't an infant. It was Herve Villechaize. He thought it was a plane. http://highoctanegrowler.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Herve_Villechaize.jpg

Taildragger8791 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 I'm glad to see Gibson bounced back to have an efficient second half of the game, even if his WHIP is still up there. Now he just needs to finish strong and get that full 7 or 8 instead of petering out and making a sh-- show of it. Maybe he'll go Randy Johnson and take out the bird that jimbo was talking about!

There was a slight delay as ushers grabbed the bird and its victim, and I believe the family was comped a handful of tickets. Game resumed after a short delay. Naturally they don't televise these things - you don't want to encourage copy cats...

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 I just put $10 on you! .Well there were only 10 lager entries last year, so you may have a big payday coming
Platoon Verified Member Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 I hope Gibson gets to hit again. I think he has the chance for the Rare Golden Bunting Sombrero!
CampQ Verified Member Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Lucky for me the only perishable in my fridge is yogurt, a product made by perishing dairy. Sadly no White Burgundy tonight
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 I liked what Gibson did to Swanson. The rookie fell for Gibson's forte, which is to bend a variety of pitches to get swings outside the zone. Gibson finished the inning with panache... cutter, 2-seam, slider. Swanson got him into clever mode. I'd consider sending him out for the 8th.

jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Slippy? Slappy? Swenson? Swanson?Swanson's not the only rookie to find out that mlb pitchers will throw any pitch at any time. You think you're going to get a fastball on 3 and 2? Ha - here comes a curve or a change, seeya later, rook.
CampQ Verified Member Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 8 innings for Gibby. Nobody foresaw that
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Dang, Gibson could go 9 innings. He sure is inconsistent - but at least that means he'll have some good starts.
