Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Any word on Buxtons health or lack thereof? At some point....is he going on the DL?
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Any word on Buxtons health or lack thereof? No new news from what I can see.
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 At some point....is he going on the DL? Well, Buxton did say some really weird stuff on Aug. 1st.: "It’s the same knee that has bothered him since he banged it into the outfield wall on consecutive Friday’s just before the all-star break, but Buxton said he didn’t want to undergo more tests to rule out a more serious injury. He plans to take batting practice on the field Tuesday in hopes of a quick return to action."
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 Thanks, SSOO. "Like"You're welcome. Sorry to run about an hour late. You'll be happy to know i found a place to park to post it...

HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Twins have beaten Trevor Bauer in both games this year. http://emojipedia-us.s3.amazonaws.com/cache/f8/69/f869f6512b0d7187f4e475fc9aa7f250.png

Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 BTW, I'm in MN this week "for work". It's nice to get them to pay for me to travel to see my family and friends.......that said, wow, I had totally forgotten what humidity feels like in just 10 weeks. I won't miss humidity either.

crapforks Provisional Member Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 I don't get the chance to watch too many games, but I get to tonight. I'm sitting here debating which broadcast to watch and I think I am legitimately tuning into the Twins team. Smalley is pretty good. Maybe its SSS, maybe my hatred for Bert is blinding me. How do people here generally feel about the job Smalley is doing?
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Double for Mauer = Good Sign!!
big dog Verified Member Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Dozier kills a line drive that Lindnor catches, Joe with ho hum, another double. Let's go Twins!
big dog Verified Member Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 I like Smalley quite a bit, and I think he's better when he's done a few games in a row. I don't know if he becomes more familiar with the team, or he just uses up all the tired analogies and thinks for himself (maybe both), but I think he's a nice change.
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 well, nice start.Wait a sec! Was that sarcasm for Dozier's 1 pitch out or Mauer's double? Damn it, barely started; already confused......
jimmer Verified Member Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Wait a sec! Was that sarcasm for Dozier's 1 pitch out or Mauer's double? Damn it, barely started; already confused......wasn't sarcasm at all.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Mauer, Kepler, Sano.Gonna have to throw strikes to get those guys out.
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 I'm thinking it's about time Sano nails one....
jimmer Verified Member Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 can throw almost anything to Sano and he'll swing. Or check swing, I guess. 14Ks in the last 6 games.
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 I'm thinking it's about time Sano nails one....Sano NAILED that walk
jimmer Verified Member Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 going to get to Cleveland's bullpen quickly
