LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Huge break for the Twins as Dancing Bear knocks the ball out of Wright's glove, but out of view of the ump. Whatever works.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Among the many disappointments of the 2016 season, Trevor May ranks near the top (bottom?) for me. Here he is, brought into a mopup role (for good reason), he's throwing 93-94 (instead of 98) with little command, can't throw anything else for a strike, appears disinterested, and getting shelled. What happened? alskntwnsfn, Mike Sixel, LaBombo and 2 others 5

Platoon Verified Member Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 This might not be a popular answer, but I think that a guy who thought, rightfully or wrongly, that he was going to be a middle of the rotation starter, ends up in a non defined role in the BP. That's what happened. And I imagine this happening while the SP was basically the worst in baseball made it worse. May isn't blameless by any extent, but he had plenty help. What happened?I'm afraid I have to agree. It's beginning to look like there is a real chance that Span and Revere will have been traded for zero return. I'd say it's time to pull the plug permanently on this May to the bullpen experiment, let him get 8 to 10 starts to close out the season and use that info going into ST next year.
