Hrbowski Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Why was Donaldson ejected? Just turned the game on and heard that he was, but they didn't say why.
70charger Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Bert giving us info about the umpiring rotation, while missing Donaldson getting ejected. sigh... Wait, what? Just tuned in. Did Donaldson get ejected?
spinowner Provisional Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Bert giving us info about the umpiring rotation, while missing Donaldson getting ejected. sigh...In fairness it would be easy to miss it because it was so unexpected.
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Wait, what? Just tuned in. Did Donaldson get ejected?Yup. And after seeing the replay, it looked like Donaldson was saying F U Edit: should have added "while jogging back to the dugout"
spinowner Provisional Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 If that's the case Donaldson deserves to get ejected for being stupid. One, don't use profanity to an umpire. Two, pick your battles. Don't make a big deal over an inconsequential call on the second at-bat of the game. In other words, don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Come now.. the funny just writes itself. (Zuke is sitting at -0.1 bWAR). I want to like this but I really can't because of my firm Anti-War stance. But Yeah... War believer or not... We do end up arriving at the same location. It's kind of like you and I drove over a bridge and you fell out of my car and landed in the river and floated to the same rest area that I stopped at.

So Donaldson say F U while standing right infront of the umpire. whatever, BAD MOVE

Wat? That metaphor is so tortured it belongs in Guantanamo.
jud6312 Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Wait ... the Twins were telling someone from another team how to play the game? The Minnesota Twins? The 10 and 31 Minnesota Twins? You don't see other teams yelling at them to play winning baseball, so why should they expect others to listen to them? Seriously, between this and the Jose Ramirez thing, this teams has just become an absolute joke.

TK probably would have pulled him from the game.Maybe the ump ejected him for not having fun while he played. That and getting fun out of showing up the opponents should be banned.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 remember all that quality depth at OF and SP so many pointed out before the season started? Pat Dean and Grossman. Yeah... I Got Sucked in to that. I honestly wish Pat Dean the best of luck and I hope today is the start of a long distinguished career. But... with all that depth... getting to the position of needing Dean to save us in May is a lot like needing me to sew someone's dress so they don't get laughed at while attending the prom.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Wat? That metaphor is so tortured it belongs in Guantanamo. I was told it was tortured metaphor day? If I'm the only practitioner... I'll feel like Will Ferrell running down the street in Old School.
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 So the Twins were barking at Donaldson about decorum? *Sigh*
jimmer Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 So the Twins were barking at Donaldson about decorum? *Sigh*yeah, this stuff gets old. Then again, you have fans saying we should hit Bautista in his 1st AB today too, so you know.
jimmer Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Bautista has 13 homers in 20 games here. that's what happens when he gets to face such a consistently bad pitching staff over and over.

We may not see it but it's probably been tossed out there a few times. If you fall off your bike in front of 25 people... chances are... one of the 25 people will say something snarky.
