jokin Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 On a related topic, I don't suppose there's a Bryce Harper type coming along for the 2017 draft, is there? I got a feeling the Twins may have a very high draft pick a year from now. When a team's this bad, maybe the league should let them have the first five draft picks. Then in a few years they could at least be mediocre. Wait? What? How about that parade I was promised...?
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 I think Polanco has the potential to be a player on this team.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 I agree with him. First step is removing him. No. The first step was NOT rehiring him after the Smith debacle. It's DEFCON ONE step at this point in time.
Blake Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Grossman-3 AB's, two RBI's. Yep, definitely time to extend Grossman.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 I can see a good running gag for a baseball comedy. One announcer keeps asking the other one, "Did you ever meet so-and-so?" The second announcer says, "Sure, great guy, how is he?" and then the first announcer says, "Well, he passed away today..." And do that over and over for the whole movie. Thanks for the idea, Dick.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 I think Polanco has the potential to be a player on this team. Could you lay out a case that would convince Molly, please?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 I think Polanco has the potential to be a player on this team.He already is
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Most teams break down in any one phase of the game -- offense, defense, pitching -- for an inning or two and recover. The Twins fail in all three phases so often that they are not competitive. The record for fewest wins in a season is 40 by the 1962 Mets. Unless something miraculous happens, I believe this team has a chance to break that handily.I'm rooting for it! I hope we have the most loses this year so we get the #1 pick in 2017. But with our luck Atlanta will get it & we'll draft the next Adam Johnson. \m/
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 It's tough to watch the losses but... honestly... if they can extend this losing streak awhile. The quicker Ryan and Molitor (they are joined at the hip according to Ryan in the Pioneer Press Today) start giving playing time to players like Polanco while they are in a Twins uniform.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Dozier is the epitome of clutch! \m/
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Dick is demoted to the ambient soundtrack at Bombo Manor tonight. How, pray tell, did he manage that tie-in?Taylor Rogers is apparently from Littleton, Co. Didn't even go to columbine. Dick just thought he'd shoe horn it in.
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 He already isNo, I meant he has the potential to turn into a really good...oh, never mind.

jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 High middle fastball tailing into the bat. If there's one pitch you must never, ever throw, that's it. Is Michael Tonkin just a little dim?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Will we ever see marney get a Gatorade bath again?

However, we are talking Twins pitching.
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 In fairness to May, it should be quite clear by now that whatever is wrong with this organization is very contagious.

MileHighTwinsFan Verified Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 I wonder if Dozier has options left? Two options. Revocable waivers or irrevocable waivers.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 If Ryan were a forklift operator, this would sum up his job performance: https://youtu.be/EjOvI0TOx98
