I wish I could review the posts from 2012/2013 and chart what TD posters expected the 2016 season to be?

Some things are best left in the past!

In that case, it sure seems like a no-brainer to add that to our versatile Target Field organist's ever-so-snooze-inducing playlist.

I thought I was the only one, and that it was blasphemous to criticize. The "everybody clap your hands" bit must really energize the players.

Forgotten was a game vs the Twins very late in the season: Twins were up like 9-0 in the third--then the skies opened-up and it poured. The rules at that time washed those innings away and the game was restarted at 0-0, the Tigers eventually won it. So, they really should have been 42-120.

Man, that Tigers team was so bad, they couldn't even lose right!

I will give it to this year's Twins, though. They have consistently found creative ways to lose. No matter how the game is shaping up, they have found a way. Getting down 8-0, tying it up, and then losing was impressive. Wasting three Park/Sano homers Ina single game was equally notable. But nothing will likely top bringing a righty in (replacing a lefty) to face a lefty pitcher batting with two outs in the bottom of the 16th, and the catcher throwing the subsequent bunt over the 1B head while the tying run scored.

Sorry i weren't really paying much attention last night, leastwise while it was still going on.

But i still am trying to appreciate 'em, even as finely distilled bottles of disappointment.

No need to constantly check the standings. Appreciate one game at a time...

Is the up and coming an afternoon affair?

I swear, I may as well enter primal scream therapy if I have to endure the hava nagila dance song just once more...

That will absolutely go down as the worst, most gut wrenching loss in a season full of them. That's the moment you knew this team was special.

Yup, "special" sums it up quite nicely. You know you're reaching new-found depths of fan-angst when the descriptions of game-after-game futility just flow off of the tongue- seemingly defy reality and yet reek of credulity. The 2016 Twins and the suffering fans seem destined to join the '62 Mets... at least in this quote from Casey Stengel:

“Never has so much misery loved so much company”
