glunn Community Moderator Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 The record for most losses in the modern era belongs to the 1962 Mets -- 120 losses. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_worst_Major_League_Baseball_season_records#Modern_era_.281900.E2.80.93present.29 Maybe the Twins can make some history this season.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 If I was the traveling Secretary for the Twins. I'm cancelling the flight and putting the whole team on a Greyhound to Chicago so they have more time to think about what went wrong.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 The Astros TV announcers are laughing, like this one is in the bag. The gall.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Late to the party--did I miss much?I think the last person to say that was at the Heaven's Gate compound. Similar carnage.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Seriously Two Walks Houston isn't even trying right now. Just toss it down the middle.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Well it looks like we Killed Pressly losing this game.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Seriously Two Walks Houston isn't even trying right now. Just toss it down the middle. You just got your wish.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Seriously Two Walks Houston isn't even trying right now. Just toss it down the middle. That just resulted in 2 insurance runs.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Not playing station to station, Astros? We'll remember this in August. Those meatballs over the middle will be two inches off the inside corner! Brushbacks I say!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 That just resulted in 2 insurance runs. Well Maybe if Pressly wasn't reading my posts between pitches we'd be in the top of the 9th already.
DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 You know it's bad when your mop up guys just come in and spill the bucket.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Pressley walks two, then throws a BP fastball right down the middle. What's a hitter supposed to do? They're not paid to miss. Just throw strikes and let the averages get them out. Ruth is dead!!!
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Don't worry, they're just shaking out the last drops and dribbles now.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 I like that Dick thinks the Astros pitching has been bad this season because they are all soft tossers that are basically the same pitcher. He seems not to notice the irony.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 My wife just walked downstairs and yelled at me! "Why are you still watching this game," she said. Any thoughts or ideas on what I can tell her? I was speechless...
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 How could this game have ever been 0-0?
DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Ha! I was just wondering when that was going to happen, I wouldn't want to stick around for the end of this either. wait, I'm still here.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 The most pointless managerial ejection of the 21st century. (any insight from the Twins' announcers?)
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 "It appeared as though Castro did not even want to run to third base but it's a part of baseball."
Guest Guests Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Don't worry, they're just shaking out the last drops and dribbles now.Yeah, and Molitor is Officer Hardhat.

wavedog Verified Member Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 I only get so many chances to watch the Twins play living down here in Texas, so I am sticking this one out. Could be a good thing I can't see them play much this year the way it's going so far this season. Just when you think it can't get any worse.
