jimmer Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 This team is now 7-17. Brutal. I would give Molitor the benefit of the doubt throughout this season ONLY because the team was competitive last season. If next year begins poorly and no improvement is shown, I would hope he's shown the door. Although if this thing to continues to spiral out of control, the water may get awfully warm by season's end. We have a roster full of seemingly uninspired players who seem to lack direction. And of course, there are plenty of marginally talented players.Molitor is part of it, he's definitely made some questionable pitching moves and lineup construction, but the team construction itself is extremely questionable and that falls on Mr. Ryan.
mudcat14 Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Tomorrows line-up vs. Pelf, or I quit; CF-Santana2B-Polanco1B-Mauer3B-SanoRF-ArciaDH-ParkSS-Escobar or NunezC-SuzukiLF-Rosario
Kwak Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 If DET is starting Pelfrey tomorrow they are truly disrespecting the Twins.
mickeymental Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 twins have a 1.5-game lead on the braves!
bluechipper Provisional Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 twins have a 1.5-game lead on the braves!Only .5 back of Houston too.
bluechipper Provisional Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 So glad April is done. It's time for another May run.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 At least Duffey looked good today. I'm actually excited about him and Berrios in the rotation. Duffey looked like he was in control while he pitched today. Last thought - Sano looks much more athletic and graceful at 3rd base versus RF...
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Wow, this is one lousy team. How much of this is the talent level and how much is the manager/coaches? I'm starting to lean toward the latter given these recent lifeless performances. Is it too late to cancel my MLB TV subscription and get a refund?Tell them you died, see if that works.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 4 pages.....even the serious fans are not paying attention. I was at Fulton around inning 7....There were people streaming out of the game. This team is in trouble.
Blake Verified Member Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Not only am I late to the thread, I'm in MN this next week and the Twins are on the road. Story of my life, not just a day late and a dollar short, but a week late and many dollars short.
Blake Verified Member Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Quick show of hands: who thinks giving your daughter a Mcdonald's quarter pounder on her wedding day would go over well?Only fancy people do that. Us regular people go for Costco Dogs.
wavedog Verified Member Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 I did yard work today instead of following the game. Unfortunately that was a better way to spend my time. It is getting depressing following the games - hopefully we will turn it around soon.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 I failed again to follow the game. Sorry... I should do penants, or something, eh?
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Tomorrow's SP for the Tigers: 0-4, 4.64ERA, 21.1IP, 9K, 1.94 ERA. Anyone? It's disappointing the Twins are 10 games under 500 at the end of April. I don't know, though, I am looking forward to the next five months. Mauer-Sano-Park-Arcia looks like a nice middle of the lineup. Berrios-Meyer-Duffey in the rotation looks promising too. I think there is something to build on here. Maybe getting back into contention isn't realistic anytime soon, but count me in as sticking around to see the show.
