Jham Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Korean Gangsta! Is he the Twins only All-Star? Not Nolasco right? Mauer?
Reider Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Park is going to hit a lot of home runs this year if pitcher keep hanging those slow curves/breaking balls over the plate.
Reider Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 What did the buffalo say as his son left for college?Bi-son
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Sitting with Stringer watching the game. I cant read my cell phone outdoors because the clouds are too bright. So hopefully this doesnt say im sitting with Klinger.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Nice AB, Danny. Three pitches right in the middle, not so much as a foul ball.

Jham Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 2 run deficits feel like 10 right now...
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 sorry bout that last one
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 lol. missing first base, something you don't see every day. You've never played slow pitch softball.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 You've never played slow pitch softball. It appears I may be watching one right now.
Reider Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Mauer is definitely seeing the ball good again. Leading the AL in OBP is not because of luck.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Quick show of hands: who thinks giving your daughter a Mcdonald's quarter pounder on her wedding day would go over well?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 The club needs to revisit an old slogan to bring some magic back to the franchise. I'm thinking "Minnesota Twins...wish we could forGET TO KNOW 'EM" What a trainwreck
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 While I suspect if Mauer's return to form is real, it is largely due to being another year removed from the concussion (helped by the things he has himself tried - the eye exercises etc. I think he sometimes gets unfairly painted for not doing enough to work through things. I think he puts in a lot more time than his louder critics give him credit), I think part of his rebound is due to him returning to what works for him - patient at the plate. I have heard a couple of people say how he felt pressure to hit for more power as a `1B, which led to him changing some of his approach - more aggressive swinging etc. While it is good to mix things up and continue to try and grow, I wonder if he had strayed a little too far from what worked for him. Whatever it is - hopefully this is a more real return to form and not some temporary hot streak.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Quick show of hands: who thinks giving your daughter a Mcdonald's quarter pounder on her wedding day would go over well? Well, if I pay for the wedding, she'd better not complain if that's what her present is.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Well, that's just great. Trevor May throwing 91-93. It's only April.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Murphys BA is so low It goes up when he gets out
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Murphys BA is so low It goes up when he gets outIt should be pretty high by now. #yogi
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Bert not satisfied with one bunt per game from Santana.
Jham Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Quick show of hands: who thinks giving your daughter a Mcdonald's quarter pounder on her wedding day would go over well?Depends. Did you give her the other half of a Mc Pick 2 or the free one from the Monopoly pull-off game? If you paid full menu price, I think you're good.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Just no reason to try and steal there down by 3 with mauer and the power guys lurking. No idea what is going on with this club.
mudcat14 Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Steal or Hit & Run? Either way smart move when the batter has 2 strikes and whiffs 140+ per season.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Just no reason to try and steal there down by 3 with mauer and the power guys lurking. No idea what is going on with this club. It's OK because Dozier can be counted on to not strike out. And Santana is really fast.
Jham Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Dozier is trying to Lew Ford himself out of the league... Lucky he's a middle infielder. I remember he was interviewed about his 2nd half swoon last season and he said he wasn't concerned (willing to change his approach) because despite the drop in power, he was still scoring runs. He only scored 34 (67 in the first half). He's delusional apparently. Maybe the team can do an intervention and convince him to start attending Pullers Anonymous meetings twice a week.
Jham Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Tonkin, taking a little off to hit his spots and let the ball move a bit?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 This team is now 7-17. Brutal. I would give Molitor the benefit of the doubt throughout this season ONLY because the team was competitive last season. If next year begins poorly and no improvement is shown, I would hope he's shown the door. Although if this thing to continues to spiral out of control, the water may get awfully warm by season's end. We have a roster full of seemingly uninspired players who seem to lack direction. And of course, there are plenty of marginally talented players.
Marek Houston Wichita Wind Surge - AA SS On Saturday, Houston went 3-for-5 and scored two runs. After a short slump, he is now back over .290 on the season. Explore Marek Houston News >
