David HK Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 It was impressive, but the Capybara reference sealed the deal for me. Here's hoping the capybara can stay away from the chupacabra. Riverbrian 1
spinowner Provisional Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Just what we need, first two guys get on base and Miguel Capybara coming up. Riverbrian and formerly33 2
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Haha how can we be losing already? Trash! HitInAPinch 1
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 home plate ump has a variable strike zone tonight :-)
formerly33 Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Haha how can we be losing already? Trash!Easy ... Ian Kinsler walks, steals 2nd, J.D. Martinez doubles, 1-0 Tigers CBU.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Phil Hughes has been good this year.
kusko_andy Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Do we have a 4th young starter in the minors that we can bring up to replace Hughes?
spinowner Provisional Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 SheeshMy sentiments exactly. HitInAPinch 1
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Go grab the shovel. It's gonna be some work digging out of this one.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 I can not like this initial post enough! EPIC! But two comments: 1} I was smart drunken-still wise enough to refuse the dare in the same situation. "So I got that going for me." 2} Dude, the cassette deck era is OVER. Kid probably did you a favor by stealing your car stereo and making you go by a CD deck. Riverbrian and Platoon 2
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 There is a sick, borderline desperate part of me that wants to see injuries linger a bit longer, (while wishing no-one actual harm), so that Berrios, Duffey and Meyer can all make multiple starts. Does this make me a bad person/fan?
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Choice AB by Mauer. spinowner and formerly33 2

Yes.. yes it does But... It also makes you normal so it ends up being OK.
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 nice AB for Mauer. fouls off a bunch of pitches, then almost takes Fulmer's head off formerly33 1
kusko_andy Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 I am jealous that their best pitching prospect looks like he has elite stuff, and our's looked like he only had good stuff. Why can't we have nice things? HitInAPinch 1

Why can't we have nice things? We will. At the end of the day Berrios will kick Fulmer's ass. Debuts are not a trustworthy gauge.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Hmmm, this sideline reporter is a big upgrade from Marney. IMHO, of course.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Sorry i haven't been following the game as is my want. Or even read the game thread in a more timely fashion. Have i missed much? Been mildly distracted by things...
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Haha jack Morris is so crotchety, I love it
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Hmmm, this sideline reporter is a big upgrade from Marney. IMHO, of course.Watch it
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 So that's Morris in place of Bert? I was wondering who it was that was actually making me miss Bert.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Go grab the shovel. It's gonna be some work digging out of this one. There's always hope until the last out of the game. But I've still opted to meet a friend instead of watching, even though it's winter-like outside and I'm dead dog tired and have to be up early to play tennis.

But get him drunk enough and I'm sure he'd oblige you with an encore. formerly33, Riverbrian and Platoon 3
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Berrios didn't look as comfortable as fulmer does at any point of his start.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Strange as it may seem, i don't so much mind people wearing clothes. My vaguely comprable story, not that much is comprable to this intro, is seeing David Bowie mudwrestle Prince. Anyway, i'm perhaps questing for food now, and will take a moment to appreciate my car stereo. Riverbrian 1

It's just going to be a blue collar day. The hands need to get dirty tonight, that's all. Good luck with your tennis match or practice tomorrow. Riverbrian 1
