Meyer's been starting in Rochester right?  So he should be able to pitch quite a few innings tonight.  (if milone can't go deep)

You'll drink to that!

Wow, Target Field looks pretty empty tonight.  cheap seats from scalpers.

Don't know where you are located, but it's like zero degrees* and cloudy and gloomy all day**

what's up with HBO... not running thrones until 12:30 tonight.... now they know why everyone pirates it.

They lost me with the talking horse. I just can't suspend my disbelief that much. But I will admit, the Red Witch has an amazing beauty secret... ;-)

I missed the last two games. Is this one more fun than those were?

We switched things up and gave up a run in the second inning, not the first, today,

I'm currently recording a cover of one of prince's biggest hits. It's going to be called, "when fans cry" and I'll have the twins players as backup singers.

Sadly, I still think the Vikings do a better job making their fans cry.

Well, I am unfortunately one of those myself and that may be true. I did cry after the Gary Anderson miss (I was 12), but since then it's been less and less sad after each gut wrenching loss. I sort of just sat there after Walsh missed the 90 foot FG. One thing I can say about the Vikings in their defense is that they at least make the moves they think can bring them a winner. This franchise, handing out "lifetime contracts" and never really contending for big name FAs or trades, I'm not real sure how serious they are about winning.

This. I have hope for the Vikings as their management and coaching staff are prudent and make wise choices and give out reasonable contracts. They've built a really good team that could compete for awhile. Now if the bad luck could just go away.... Walsh's missed kick makes me think they still have to get past the bad luck.

The worst part about Walsh is that I told my wife he'd miss it a minute before the kick.  But alas, 1998, 2001, 2009, Herschell Walker, Brad Childress, and the Blair Walsh project...  Just get kind of used to it.

Not to get too far off topic, but my dad is also a long suffering fan and we both accurately predicted the Peterson fumble. I did NOT expect Walsh to miss, but instead I expected him to make it and then Russell Wilson would take the remaining 20 seconds to get the Seahawks into FG range. That's what I fully expected.

No one can say that Ziggy Wilf doesn't play to win. Big free agents, Favre, Jared Allen, firing non performing coaches like a normal team owner would, etc.

Yep, the twins seem perfectly content to just exist. Although, I'm not sure how profitable the club can be when the shiny new ballpark is sitting less than half full a few short years after it opened.

It's really a great song... It has all the elements of a hit.

Prince shoulda covered that one.

I used to think it was all luck, but in the last 15 years, I've seen the Red Sox win the series 3 times, teams like the saints, bucs, white sox, Seahawks and other long suffering teams win titles. You gotta take advantage of the chances.
