R.I.P. Yogi Berra, who passed away from natural causes today. Yogi was a legend on the field, and even more legendary with his quotes over his career. I wanted to create a forum so we could share our favorite Yogi-isms.

"If I didn’t make it in baseball, I won’t have made it workin’. I didn’t like to work." - Yogi Berra

"Hey, you don't look so hot" - to the wife of the Mayor of NYC, who was wearing a light summer dress on a very hot summer day.

"You know, I never said half the things I said".

"How can you think and hit at the same time?"

In a parade, the wife of the Mayor of New York tells Yogi he looks cool despite the heat.

He responds, "You don't look so hot either."

When asked if the fans that dashed naked as jaybirds across the field were men or women,

"I don't know. They had bags over their heads."

About a restaurant:  "No one goes there anymore, it's too crowded."

On a more serious note, Yogi served in the US Navy during WWII, and was on a ship off the coast of France during D Day.   Thank you for your service, Mr Berra.

One time I'm glad to be old is that I'm old enough to have seen Yogi play. He was one hell of a player.

I second that...I remember lots of his quotes...afraid to quote them cause I will probably butcher them. RIP Yogi...

Yogi Berra is one of those guys that everybody wishes they knew. I think I'll imagine him teaching little kids how to bunt and throw a curve ball.

I always liked "You could wake up dead tomorrow" because it's a silly way of remembering that life is fleeting.

I also liked, "I didn't buy an encyclopedia for my kids - let them walk to school like everyone else."

I think that latter one predates Yog' by about 50 years or so.
