Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Man, I went to the swap meet, and bought some used sneakers. Bad mistake. I think they might have been previously owned by a drug dealer. I'm not sure what they were laced with, but I've been trippin' all day.Ooooh, where? I want a pair! twinsnorth49 1

David HK Verified Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Stax Stuff was the best... So much better than Motown. You can hear Cropper playing guitar with Wilson Pickett... Sam and Dave... Otis Redding... Eddie Floyd... and many others. Eddie Floyd... It's like Thunder... Lightning... The way you love me is frightening... You Better Knock...TAP TAP TAP TAP TAP... On Wood... BABY... (Horns) Awesome stuff... Timeless. OMG- Knock on wood! Amii Stewart version, that hot, hot, gal! One summer, played some town ball in Crookston, back in ummm... '79? I think. They used to play that song for us at the Viking Disco, when we'd walk in after a game, still in uniform! Party down!!!

David HK Verified Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Certainly within 5 yrsI went to the Asian Games in Guangzhou back in 2010, and saw the baseball competition. (Surprise, Japan won). I thought they were trying to save $ on scarce baseballs or something, but there was netting completely surrounding the stands except for the outfield. No souvenirs at all. It sucked for that reason, and also for obscuring the sight lines.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 The top three hitters in Cleveland's lineup are hitting .302, .318, .315--top three for the Twins: .260, .236, .266.Cleveland's top three hitters went 1-11 with an ill-advised sacrifice bunt, while the top three Twins hitters were 5-11 with two walks, two doubles, a triple , two runs scored and two RBI. twinsnorth49, USAFChief, David HK and 1 other 4

stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Did you name the child Bert in honor of his big game (or simply because you really admired him)?Well, no. Bert was pitching for the Rangers then and he had left Minnesota firing double barreled one-finger salutes to the few fans left in the stands for Twins' games. My daughter was born that day and I got home just in time to hear it mentioned that Bert had pitched a no-hitter.
