Gibby Provisional Member Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Kyle the nibbler is out tonight I see. Oh Geeze, a set-up like that could easily garner me a warning point. Riverbrian and glunn 2
Jerr Verified Member Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 I should have been clearer...My bad.More generally, has anyone used a mop for curling?Or is it against the rules or something. Or would dragging a bucket and a squeezer on the ice be disadvantageous?(i can see i haven't thought out the implications of such a strategy at all, and perhaps i should do so before i post it... nah, this way's more fun.)Well, I tried the sites re: curling and all I got was beer sites Hosken Bombo Disco, twinsnorth49, Riverbrian and 1 other 4

Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Our golf sup up here curls and has gone to Worlds the last couple years. Scotland last year and she got to play St Andrews. Russia this year, and came in 3rd. It's a shame we can score all these runs to have Gibson give them back. Sit him down now and we win the bullpen battle. Gibby 1

SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 or that report by Jeremy which said the Rockies asked for Gibson... So yeah, there was definitely smoke on this theory bud. His piece said their top target was Gibson and they also were interested in Sano. For all we know it could have been Gibson+Sano. They could have been willing to give up Gibson, but Sano was the deal breaker. Who knows. I just think saying the Twins wouldn't give up Gibson for Tulo is mis-informed and using a small piece of information to make assumption you couldn't possibly know the answer to.

SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 To be fair, your stats are assuming all teams have the same amount of 0-2 counts for and against. I wouldn't doubt if the Twins were also first (or last or whatever) in getting down 0-2. Also, I'm not confident our pitchers are frequently up 0-2. Perhaps 0-2 RBI percentage would be a better measure? Or are you saying that statisticians just see what they want to see? Also HICKS!!! Left handed! That's why the team hates platoons. You gotta learn sometime! The Twins are third in the league having 442 PA with 0-2 count this season. Leading this category Milwaukee with 454. Meanwhile on the other hand, Twins pitchers are right in the middle, getting to an 0-2 count 392 times, ranking them 16th in the league
