You'll note they didn't use their Bass in the 8th inning of a scoreless game.

Yes, by all means, lets make the nightmares even worse.  Thanks.  Thanks very much.

Beautiful friggin throw by Rosario. Big old caroke step, super leg drive, threw himself into the throw. Ball came out like it was shot from a polish canon. Beautiful.

The Polish have good cannons eh? Who' da thunk it?

to bring this back to baseball, Pachelbel looks a great deal like Oscar Gamble:

Used to make them when I was a kid. Four pop cans was best, and really burn the fuzz off that tennis ball. Can of lighter fluid, and some kid dumb enough to swing it and light it. Easily fired a ball 200 yards or more. I can almost smell the lighter fluid...glorious!

Driving back from Nebraska, announcers said Texas had the highest batting average and scored the most runs in the majors since the All Star game. Perfect recipe for another bad game experience for the Twins. But the baseball gods have smiled on the boys tonight. I never get tired of laughers when we administer the beatdown. They don't happen often, so awfully pleasant when they do.

Yes, yes, thank you Mr. Culture.

But he's German, not Polish.

Yes, thank you Mr Ruin-my-strech-of-a-joke-with-your-literalism-spoilsport.

That sounds considerably more powerful than anything the Poilsh have ever fired.

Oscar could really throw too.

Had a cannon, one might say.

Last time I fired one was late one night around Halloween. Soaked the tennis ball in lighter fluid because then it would leave a trail of blue flame you could see at night. Fired it at the back of a city bus as it left a bus stop. Whack! Then it drove away with a burning circle of blue flame where the ball hit it. We ran like scared rabbits.

BTW, they don't make pop cans from steel anymore, so that design is officially obsolete. Soup cans might work, if you could find the right sized ball... ;-)

By the way, Sano looks thinner than earlier this year. Is playing with the big club meaning he is eating healthier?

Yes I noticed this when he was called up. He had that trainer earlier this season, so I was expecting to see an individual the mass and girth of a David Ortiz multiplied by Pablo Panda Sandoval, with a dash of David Wells for good measure. But Sano is just big in a good way. Maybe more body fat that a typical big leaguer but able to carry it on that frame, and like you said, better resources for managing it when you're in MLB, I'd guess.

Sano for presidente! Great thread everyone!
