twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 How great is it to have a hitter again that you simply can't make a mistake to? And he's just getting started, I'm giddy like a schoolgirl...................and not ashamed to admit it.
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Yowza. By the way, does Bert read TD? He just asked Dick if Beltre is a HOFer.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 One question that will be answered in 2015 is "who bats fourth?"Although I kind of like him batting third so he bats in the first inning every time. But you're right, by batting him fourth it increases the probability of the guy batting third (Dozier next year?) getting something sweet to hit.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Everybody aboard the bandwagon. No charge. Get your tickets while they last. Going fast. Will be a round-trip ticket, everybody home by October 1st.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 This is like watching a game in bizarro world, these things usually happen to the Twins.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 I'm just glad that Miguel Sano seems to be overcoming his natural shyness at the plate. Tee-hee.
David HK Verified Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Wow- just stopping by on a busy day- can Sano get a HR cycle? solo, 2-R, 3-R, and GS? Wouldn't that be a good gosh-darn day?
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Keep raising that BA Aaron Hicks!
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Impressive Hicks, impressive. I take back all the bad things I said about you, even though I really liked you.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 There it is again, Hicks is hitting the ball so hard that the infielders have almost no chance to field it. We are seeing Aaron Hicks 2.0, with a much better swing.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Good Job, Brian Dozier. Double.
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Well this is a pleasant surprise!
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 I like the Dozier doubles. Makes it harder for Mauer to GIDP.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 I'm sorry, but I'm not enjoying this. Seeing a RH pitcher named Bass in a Twins game is bringing back too many nightmarish memories.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Mauer joins the hit parade, with Sano as protection. lol.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 I wonder if Joe Mauer could develop a Cuban Kick and a Dominican Bat Wave. Maybe he'd start jacking the ball around a little better.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 CBU: 11- 0 after 5. Yeah, Twins!
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 It's the Hicks-Sano show! Fun..........
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Buck 4-5 with 4 runs scored tonight.....................damn wrist, thumb, whatever.
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 By the way, Sano looks thinner than earlier this year. Is playing with the big club meaning he is eating healthier?
Blake Verified Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 I would turn this game off, but I really want to see what Sano and Hicks do the rest of the game.
GCTF Verified Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 I'm sorry, but I'm not enjoying this. Seeing a RH pitcher named Bass in a Twins game is bringing back too many nightmarish memories. You'll note they didn't use their Bass in the 8th inning of a scoreless game.
wavedog Verified Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Got anybody watching the Texas feed tonight? Curious about what they have to say about #22.I am watching the Texas feed. Very complimentary of Sano and his size and power. On the 2nd HR they said the seats kept it from going further. Even the sac fly - he got jammed and the ball went to deep right. They also like Hicks. Said it shows you have to have patience with young hitters. Showed Pretty good background knowledge for Texas announcers
spinowner Provisional Member Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 By the way, Sano looks thinner than earlier this year. Is playing with the big club meaning he is eating healthier?Maybe Torii's influence. He's pretty much an eat-healthy fanatic from what I gather.
