Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Escobar has good at bats. He just does.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 You know you're in trouble as a Twins player when Cory Provus and Kris Atterbury (sp?) are ragging on you. Sorry Eric Fryer.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 AWESOME... We just had about 6 positive posts in a row. Some backhandedly positive but positive none the less. Don't for get to count this one. It sounds positive to me, but for the life of me, i'm not sure if it is forehand or backhand. And i'm okay with that! Escobar's on first, not out, and that's what counts.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Both bullpens warming up already (And if no one in the Twins pen is actually playing catch yet, they will be before five innings) I'm excited for Duffey but he couldn't have drawn a worse assignment!
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 I'd edit to say you'd only have to throw pitches in the general vicinity of home plate, and let Ozzie do the work of making them strikes for you, all while providing you with a nice cooling breeze.Really? An .825 OPS vs righties in 41 PA's this year is off less interest to you than whatever it is Shane Robinson is supposed to be capable of? At least with Arcia there's a chance at a nice cooling breeze from a ball headed to the seats, the only cooling breeze you'll get from Robinson is from him trying to run out his ground ball to SS.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Well there you go...............I like my eggs fried, and preferably not on my face.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 After taking a pitch almost over his head that was called a strike, Sugar Shane singles to left
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Robinson with the chip shot! He'll make par before you can say... um... at least before i can say it, whatever it is...

Post that again before Robinson bats next time. It worked great.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Yep he got tossed in the pond with a lot of sharks and not to many Piranhas, kid does have some stuff though. He does have a nice breaking ball with some bite, Toronto ain't biting yet tho...

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 uummmmmmmmmm...........
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 So we're not the only one's eh?

First, where are you getting .825 OPS against righties? Fangraphs puts him at .779 in 40 PA's, which puts him 79th in the league, or two thousandths of a point behind something called Ender Inciarte. Second, I was never saying Arcia is worse than Robinson--he's clearly not (other than in speed and defense from your fourth outfielder). I was simply saying putting Arcia fifth behind Sano does absolutely nothing to relative terror levels of opposing pitchers.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 A sac bunt? A gift, for us all.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Throwing a Fastball past Tulo at 3-1 will either give Duffey Confidence or False Confidence. I hope for the former. Chief I assume will say (- - -)

Chief I assume will say (- - -) No. Please rephrase in the form of a question. Let me domonstrate: "Weill throwing a fastball past Tulo at 3-1 give Duffey confidence or false confidence?"
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 A sac bunt? A gift, for us all. Because we were so worried about Ben Revere's Extra Base power?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 No. Dude... I even used 3 dashes.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Duffey's yanking his fastball and falling away on his curve. No way that's his good stuff. Nerves.

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Grand slam... I'm not surprised. Ugh. When do the Vikings start?

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Let that be a lesson to you young man. Something tells me that wasn't the plan Allen came up with.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Quick question: did anyone here not see that one coming?
