Until he slumps, yeah.

I think he's this years Danny Santana.

Rosario is going to be a good MLB hitter.  He's been a better hitter and a better prospect than Santana.  I think he will have a good major league career.  Not a flash in the pan.

I didn't mean it as an insult.  I meant it as a guy coming up from the minors and being a nice sparkplug for the team.

So far Rosario has shown little power and little plate discipline. Those combined severely limit his potention.

Rosario has a .392 BABIP and yet still has below average offensive numbers (RC+ of 94). Before long his average will plummet and he will be back in the minors. Or he'll stay lucky and wait until next year to crater, Santana-style.

What is Rosario's ceiling?

.800 OPS

+ Defensive in the OF

20 HR 20 SB

Reality is probably closer to .750 OPS

15 HR 20 2B

Yeah, either that or become a solid major leaguer.

I expect Rosario to come back to earth a bit but Rosario is the option for everyone that has lectured on and on that the Twins didn't care about OF defense.  Not a lot of options other than putting a Shane Robinson on the corner currently.

Perhaps Danny Ortiz but I wouldn't expect much offense from him either.

either he will be good or he won't be good.  We go out on a limb with our predictions.

I predict a .300 career BA and a borderline Hall of Fame candidate by the end of his career.  :)

Would you say a Jacque Jones type player?

I agree with both of these.

He will be a .275-ish career hitter minimum. And I believe it will be actually be 15-20 points higher. I truly believe he's a natural hitter, and pretty decent on contact as well. However, I believe he will also be perennially aggressive, and will keep his OB% in the .320-ish range. Not bad...not great. 30+ Dbls yearly with a hand to hand and a half in triples.

He will also crank out 15-17 HR's yearly. But he is more than capable of low 20's a few times as he gains experience after a few years. In fact, his power might increase as his speed begins to diminish. I see 15-17 SB's per year, on average as well. I short, he will de absolutely everything well, without being great in any singular area. And he will be able to help the Twins virtually anywhere in the lineup, potentially, on a daily basis; the only thing he's not is an intimidating #4 hitter.

And yeah, surprise surprise, I think he's here to stay.

Jacque Jones was a career .275/.325/.450 hitter which feels like a reasonable hitting comp for Rosario, although with some upside for Eddie in the field
