USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Rather fortunate DP, but we'll take it.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Yeah, that speculation has been around for a while. Denied by MLB, if memory serves, FWIW. It does sorta look like his stance, though. The designer of the logo says no. http://m.mlb.com/news/article/19180762/
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 The designer of the logo says no.http://m.mlb.com/news/article/19180762/Maybe it's just me, but I can't make that into a LH hitter.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 They wouldn't bat for Pelf in the seventh would they? He's batting 1.000!

ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 The designer of the logo says no.http://m.mlb.com/news/article/19180762/Great info. Thanks. According to the designer the logo is either a right-handed or left-handed batter. Never saw the lefty in there, myself.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 The Pirates TV announcers just said that "legend" has it that the MLB logo was modeled after Harmon Killebrew. I'd never heard that. Anyone?I'm also watching the Pirates' broadcast, and they've used the word "lucky" at least 15 times to describe the Twins tonight.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 I'm also watching the Pirates' broadcast, and they've used the word "lucky" at least 15 times to describe the Twins tonight. How do they describe the Pirates?
David HK Verified Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Yikes. Confidence in ANYONE from our bullpen, outside of Perk- 0. They always scare me, every one of 'em.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 How do they describe the Pirates?Unlucky.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Fien is about to start his AAA rehab stint. I am on the Oliveros bandwagon, though.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Good GOD that's a horrible 0-2 pitch. Geez oh pete@!
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Thompson looks.........hittable. I think it is time to shake up the bullpen.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 This team has performed pretty well so far, but the bullpen has to be fixed if that's to continue. I'd start with Oliveros, and I'd move Meyer to the pen in Rochester and hope to catch lightning in a bottle. I'd even look at the AA bullpen.

NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Wow, great play by Tonkin!
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 In a lot of ways, I'm glad there was no digital world back then. My confirmation day maroon slacks and white shoes/belt combo would be there for all to see, instead of just seared into my memory like a red-hot branding iron with the bad-guy cattle-baron's logo on it. And the shirt- we won't talk about the shirt. My confirmation day I wore a robe.
big dog Verified Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Yeah, Tonkin really worked for that. Lucky or not, great effort and result. He did a nice job of realizing he had about 4 minutes to make the throw, too, and didn't rush it. Hang a star on that one!

That may have been interesting.

Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Boyer in the 8th, Perk the 9th. Can they do it again?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Another trip to the well with Boyer?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 It looks like three runs will have to be enough.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 This game has that "4 out save from Perkins" feeling.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Is JR Graham still on the team? I swear he hasn't pitched for days.
