Plouffe, Vargas, and More

Recommended Posts

I have said things recently about Trevor Plouffe not being all that. I have said that Vargas should go back to AAA. Of course these two guys immediately start hitting better, especially Plouffe. Eduardo Escobar will be up next, then. Expect a big game from him with his next start.

The same is true about players in the minors. I have said negative things about Taylor Rogers (though I changed my tune about him mid-season last year), Ryan Eades, and D.J. Baxendale. All three look to be promising future rotation contenders, actually.

Anyone requests for me to belittle X player to make him perform better?

Target Sano, Walker, and Meyer please.

While you are at it, trash Berrios.  I'd like to see how much better he can get.

Yes indeed.  I will gladly eat crow for my rants about Plouffe and Dozier in the past on this forum and mlb.com.  All i want these guys to do is keep winning.

Have you also been bashing Mauer?  Aside from HR's his BA, OBP and OPS are now approaching his career numbers.

You might as well bash Hicks' ability to bat left handed... and his defense, just for good measure.

Or bash Schafer, but I'd rather you go with Hicks.  I want to see that draft pick maybe pan out.

I have said enough about Escobar to make him hit for the cycle in his next game.

I forgot to mention Shane Robinson, Eduardo Nunez, and Eric Fryer. I have basically called for their removal from the organization! And yet look at those strange numbers.

I will stick with the three most important players-with-issues at the moment:

Oswaldo Arcia (already mentioned the p-word for him lately, so I am off to a good start) may not hit even 15 homers this year and the long-term value is most maximized in a trade, pronto.

Miguel Sano's hit tool looks scary right now. Might his career max out with a Rob Deer ceiling?

Alex Meyer looks like he might be a mess for another season, making his long-term value also most maximized in a trade (to the Dodgers).

Amazing what you can do when your spray chart doesn't omit an entire section of the field!  I vote we have Phil Hughes bashed a bit, we could use him to be the 2014 version....
