This should be interesting..... They didn't have much minor league talent to begin with.  Now they've gutted whatever they had it seems.

Let the Tigers have Price, he's a free agent after 2015 and Scherzer's a free agent next year.  The Twins won't be competitve during that time, meanwhile the Tigers will have to decide which pitcher they want to give another albatros contract to for their decline years.  Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll give them both 7 year $200 million contracts.

I just don't see it. Their system had Castellanos and Ray in the top 100 last year.  Neither is exactly on par with the Wil Myers/Odorizzi package.  Castellanos, Smyly, and something?  I think the Rays do better in the offseason

I wondered the same thing. Maybe Tigers see the writing on the wall for Scherzer in FA and move him? It'll be interesting to see if he's involved.
