Baseball Almanac provided fewest triples hit by team, then just checked those teams individually on B-Ref.

(I made the assumption that Brady's 3 was a safe bet)

Very safe. Looked up that '98 roster; they should have been renamed the OldAndSlowioles for that season. These are the guys with qualifying PA's in 1998:

Harold Baines, 39 Hit one triple in half his 14 seasons from 1988-2001 (including '98), and zero in the others.

Joe Carter, 38 One triple in what would turn out to be his last season.

Cal Ripken Jr., 38 and managing the only triple of his final FIVE seasons.

Eric Davis, 36, a former burner who followed an 80 steal '86 season with 50 the next. Legged out one of THREE triples he recorded from 1991-98.

Rafael Palmeiro, 34, one triple, and averaged less than one per season for the rest of his career.

B.J. Surhoff , 34, former catcher, one triple, averaged one per season in the remaining seven seasons of his career.

Chris Hoiles, 33 catcher, zero '98 triples, two total in over 2800 PA's.

Roberto Alomar, one triple despite being just 30 and logging 80 career triples to go with 474 career stolen bases.

Former Twins Rich Becker was the runner up with 2 triples despite just 199 PA's.

It's like a perfect storm of slowness.

That got out in a hurry. Just nice to see him make contact, and another insurance run couldn't hurt the way the ball has been jumping today.

Well, I predicted the Twins would score 24 runs in the series, so I guess that means the Twins will score 13 today. Unless the wind is truly blowing in, Hughes may give up a couple of long balls. The Rockies are a really good offense and they have almost all of their pieces in place, except for Cuddy. I am going to say, Twins win 13-7.

There's your 13!!

EDIT: I was only scooped by about 15 posters.

One more thought.....let's hope that an infielder backs out at the last minute so that Dozier can play in the game Tuesday.

The Sox Ramirez left Saturday's game and didn't play today. So I'm saying there's a chance!
