GCTF Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Nope... He's the guy with the boat on a gentle stream 8 hour posting suspension.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Me thinks Arcia may need some AAA action.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 The foul lines have been kind to the twins today. And regarding the 9th inning pitcher, I assume Perkins might like to pitch?
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Gonna take at least 3 runs to win this. Along with Snepp putting DP thoughts into Mr. RB's head, I'd like to take this moment to point out the brilliance of this observation. We now return to the live broadcast.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 I know this sounds harsh, but how in the world does anyone get tired playing baseball. It's fun, *{!?;*' it! Great minds think alike.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 I know this sounds harsh, but how in the world does anyone get tired playing baseball. It's fun, *{!?;*' it! As was revealed in the popular 1999 documentary Office Space, many employees function at a higher level when allowed to "space out" occasionally. http://img2-3.timeinc.net/ew/dynamic/imgs/080425/office-space-01_l.jpg
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 8 hour posting suspension. The guy who works with Dick Martin?
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 The answer is, "I really like this kid". So much ... drama.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Me thinks Arcia may need some AAA action. I agree, but wonder who deserves to be brought up.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Well, I'd imagine it has something to do with the fact that playing 162 games over the course of a few months will wear down most people... Whoever came up with the concept of 154 games (then 162) was kind of screwy, I think.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Me thinks Arcia may need some AAA action. It's only one day, but it also happens to be the day that this suddenly seems like it might be a potentially good thing to me.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 So much ... drama. I guess you had to be there.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 I agree, but wonder who deserves to be brought up. Well, it's the Twins, and what with PFlo and Bartlett and... well, http://media0.giphy.com/media/BZQziX6q2hmX6/200_s.gif
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Yippie! A lead in the 9th! It's on my bucket list to see the Twins win just one more game before I die. Perkins, I'm depending on you, son, to pull your teammates through. My son, it's all left up to you.... (Sung to "Patches")
Boom Boom Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 I would have liked to see Gibson come back out for the ninth after 95 pitches.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 It seems to me that Fryer is pretty good at framing close pitches.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Well, I'd imagine it has something to do with the fact that playing 162 games over the course of a few months will wear down most people... It's also pretty hot in Texas. But nice that they finally won one.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Well... We won... Not to be greedy. BUT LETS DO IT AGAIN
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Nice win, and Gibson deserved it. I will miss Polanco.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 I would have liked to see Gibson come back out for the ninth after 95 pitches. I think they learned from Phil Hughes. And I really don't think the Twins are used to the Texas heat.
GCTF Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Damn, Perk ain't screwing around. They coulda played T-Bat at SS that inning.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Damn, Perk ain't screwing around. "Perk's slider (*sniff*), you opposite of stink." http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view7/4729430/slider-you-stink-o.gif
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 I was bracing myself for Perk allowing a hit or two and a runner in scoring position. I am not sure I am able to process him striking out the side without any drama.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 29, 2014 Author Posted June 29, 2014 Won't they send both of them down since it sounds like both Plouffe and Nunez are coming back? Unless they send a pitcher down but I don't really see that. Both coming back on the same day? Just thought it'd be nice to keep Polanco until the 2nd one is ready. (And yes, GCTF, I do realize how far-fetched that is ... just ... making hopes out loud.)
