aggies4 Verified Member Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Have to get the bat off your shoulder there..
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Is it weird that I want to see how low Florimon's average can get? His D is solid but, his offense is putrid.
70charger Verified Member Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 New rule: Willingham is not allowed to dive for anything. Ever.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 I've never taken a sleeping pill but somehow I think this game has a similar effect.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 What possible reason is there to call up Polanco to let him sit on the bench? Just to have the requisite number of people on the 25 man roster? It's tough to watch this team make decisions some times. /rant.

drock2190 Verified Member Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Between this putrid offense and pitching, along with not playing new and exciting rookie callups to inject some life in this offense.... I'm out of here. I'll be back for the minor league thread.
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 You'd give Ryan a pass if he stood pat with 24? It's a bold strategy, lets see if it works out for him.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 I see we're back to the Hyde version of the 2014 Twins' Jekyll & Hyde routine.
gil4 Verified Member Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Wow, slow night tonight. Lately by the time I have caught up the game is over, but this time I can still make my comment on the opening post Arlington is just a city south of Dallas and Ft. Worth It's really right between the two, due west of Dallas, due east of Ft. Worth. The State of Texas does have a rather vicious strain of a lethal disease called capital punishment that they haven't found a cure for. That's not the disease, it's the cure.

D. Hocking Verified Member Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Is it weird that I want to see how low Florimon's average can get? His D is solid but, his offense is putrid. When I heard the average on the radio it really struck home how less than ideal his average is. It is almost surreally low. I am beginning to think his valued defensive skills might not be enough to justify his less than optimum offense...
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 I see we're back to the Hyde version of the 2014 Twins' Jekyll & Hyde routine. Certainly makes things interesting ... if not heartbreaking every other week.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Finally on vacay. And it'll be a staycay this time. I think I will sleep for most of it. Finish painting the bathroom ... which I started 3 years ago ... and finally order some new tile for the kitchen floor and back splash. Anyone know a good tiler in the Chicago area?

curt1965 Verified Member Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Correia hasn't pitched badly, other than the high number of pitches. At least he looks like he's interested....... It doesn't help when the offense sucks!

aggies4 Verified Member Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Man, Arcia looks so incredibly overmatched. Doesn't matter how far he can hit it if he rarely makes contact.
70charger Verified Member Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 I'm in Atlanta for work, so I'm not blacked out on mlb.tv. I was so excited that I was going to get to watch a game live. Then this game happened.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 This is a game I thought the Twins would win, but the magical Nick Tepesch is shutting them down. Tomorrow they get Yu in midafternoon, should be fun.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 You'd give Ryan a pass if he stood pat with 24? If you're going to call up a player with no intention of using him, isn't that essentially exactly what he just did?
aggies4 Verified Member Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 I didn't know Texas had lost 8 in a row coming in. Makes this worse.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Not badly but not well, either. Yeah...I think the term we're looking for is "Correia-esque"
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 That's not the disease, it's the cure. Depends on which side of the switch you happen to be sitting on.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 If you're going to call up a player with no intention of using him, isn't that essentially exactly what he just did? I'm going to take that as 'no', then.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Polanco works the count full, then grounds to second.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Yeah...I think the term we're looking for is "Correia-esque" The comp is almost uncanny.
70charger Verified Member Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 No first hit for Polanco, unfortunately. Nice that he's getting into games though.
