James Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I'm just glad Fryer isn't DHing. / because he isn't a good hitterIf Fryer is ever DHing, the Twins have some roster issues.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I hate falling behind in a slugfest and then suddenly a pitchers' duel breaks out. Mr. Ashbury is correct.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I must be mistaken. I thought I heard Bert say "Jared Burton is warming."
James Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 It looks like Burton is warming up. Let's hope the Twins put up a insurance few runs this inning.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I predict Arcia strikes out swinging.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I must be mistaken. I thought I heard Bert say "Jared Burton is warming."The official scorer took two runs away from the Twins.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Mr. Ashbury is correct. I was thinking about how to circle back to that, without jinxing anything. Now the jinx is on you.
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Zuke is getting roughed up today. I was just thinking I don't know if I could be a pro catcher for all of the hits they take (plus I have no skills). I know Zuke has been on fire, but I wonder if Gardy needs to give him more time off from behind the plate.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Let's hope he and this gentleman never meet: It may have happened already, in our distant past. Predating the time when humans became humans, and weapons were adapted into tools, this digital re-creation show a less intelligent, huskless, but more mobile prehistoric ancestor of the watermelon being felled by a violent, early pre-human with a neolithic mallet historians believe was originally used to hunt and smash worms. http://cdn.makeagif.com/media/5-05-2014/3GDkHj.gif

Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I wonder what the tenor is at White Sox Interactive this weekend?
Jerr Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 This the one you're looking for? I was wondering why soooo many empty stations:o
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 If Burton is indeed scheduled to pitch in the ninth. I hope it is Cliff Burton, the bassist of Metallica before he was killed in a bus accident in 1986. I like his chances of closing it out better than Jered's. PS - I will also take Richard Burton, he seemingly closed down a lot of bars and late night drunken fights with Liz Taylor.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I was just thinking I don't know if I could be a pro catcher for all of the hits they take (plus I have no skills). That's why catchers put on what's called The Tools of Skilled Ignorance.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Bert described Burton's arsenal as including a "hard changeup". What next, the straight curve?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Jared Burton for the save, Chris Parmelee in as a defensive replacement. Nothing more needs to be said.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Gardenhire is showing more faith in Burton than the Pope shows in God. Let's hope somebody is right.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Is Perk sick? He went three days in a row, didn't he? I think he just needed a day off. I heard Bert say something about it but in typical fashion, I ignore whatever Bert says.
Jerr Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Is Perk sick?Last I heard was a stiff/sore back.
GCTF Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I wonder what the tenor is at White Sox Interactive this weekend? i have to admit missing reading their game threads. I also miss the 45 seconds I was a member there.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Is Perk sick? Not recently. Been rather ordinary, in fact.
