But I've watched a couple of the 1965 World Series games and the crowd was very quiet throughout.

No, you're right. The 1967 game was instrumental in deciding the pennant, so the fans were engaged there too. I was just kidding.

I always like watching the crowd in old game clips. One thing that struck me when watching the Ken Burns series is how everyone was wearing shirt and ties through the 1960s.

That picture of RiverBrian's grandfather might give me nightmares tonight. No offense HotRiverBrian.

Pick one. I'll take whichever personality is left. Flip for the rest.

Take em' both. You can be my brother in law and raise my kids. Sounds like a "Win Win" to me.

0-2 pitch...foul, foul, liner to left.

Fine his ass!

Baseball is a crazy game! Stupid baserunning becomes aggressive, smart baserunning.

I love Aggressive Base Running... Make them make a play!!! Last Year was so conservative I nodded off watching many games.

Thanks to your avatar, I can already imagine what the troublemakers of the brood will look like...

So Arcia, what to do?

Maybe he should randomly take up switch hitting and then abruptly abandon it.

The Twins have just added a new player: Oswaldo Mendoza.

Sounds like a backup middle infielder.

6-5 Twins top of the fifth:p

Back to the "watermelon/old frig contents" thread:th_alc:

I wonder how long it took "People" to figure out that there was red stuff inside that tastes good.

Watermelons were probably lying around for years until someone got really hungry or someone accidentally dropped one while removing one to get at some other kind of food.

Is kidding allowed on Game Threads?

Arcia needs to step up. Hmmm, maybe I should start a thread.

Be sure to mention his cool haircut.

Hungry person stalks anteater. Anteater tails ants. Ants swarm to fractured watermelon. Mankind's first and most confusing picnic ensues.

And who was the first person to have their salivary glands triggered by a live lobster or crab?

Is it too late for him to skip winter ball last year?

I think you are right... Man probably learned from watching other creatures...

"Say Bob... What's that Dung Beatle chewing on over there"?

So many strange foods, that I always ask myself "who was the first person to eat it?".

And what came first, the watermelon or it's seed? And who first put his old frig in his garage?:whacky028:

Back to the game, GO TWINS!!!!!

The '80's: Golden Age of prop comedy, if that's not an oxymoron. Ok, fine, I laughed too. And when the flux capacitor is installed in the Camry, the first destination is a show featuring Gallagher, Judy Tenuta,

and the Twin Cities' own Joel Hodgson...
