Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 If you've had your wisdom teeth out then it's probably too late. (Hospital Waiting Room... Riverbrian Family paging through December edition of Guns and Ammo... The Doctor approaches) Doctor: Riverbrian is doing fine... We got the appendix out before it burst. Wife: That's good news... Thank you!!! Doctor: We did have a little complication... Some of his DNA was attached to the bottom side and was out of our view and it came out during the procedure. Wife: DNA? Won't he need that? What does that mean? Doctor: He'll be fine but he will be going through some physical changes? Wife: Physical changes? Like what? Doctor: Did you ever see Jeff Goldblum in "The Fly". Wife: I'm sorry.. I don't understand... He was just getting his appendix out. Doctor: Your gonna want to stock up on Bananas... He's gonna devolop a powerful hankering for Bananas. Wife: Hold on... Bananas? Doctor: Yep... We are talking a big supply of them... You may want a Sam's club membership or establish a relationship with a wholesaler or move to the Caribbean. Wife: Is this part of that DNA mistake... How much did you remove? Doctor: About 2 percent. Oh... Yeah... If you can't find him and you don't know where he is... Check the Trees... He might be up in a tree. Wife: Is my husband turning into a monkey? Is that what you are saying. Doctor: Oh No... Absolutely not... Except... Yeah... He is... Not a Monkey so much... That's a broad term... Chimp would be more specific. Wife: I gotta sit down Doctor: Like I said... He'll be fine... He's gonna be much stronger... His Arms are gonna get real long... He'll reach things very easy... He keeps his thumbs... Kids are gonna love him. Oh... And the body hair... You will save a lot money in coats and clothing in general.

Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 He should be hot (which I'm sure is Brian's normal state) ..... watermelon should be icy cold. stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Twins can't seem to stand prosperity.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Another one? Not a bad idea, when given some thought. Gonna be a tough sell, though. Yeah... I hear ya buddy... Them Women... They were dresses and Pants.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Three-zip is nice, but it feels like it should be more. Touchdowns are nice, but take the sure three points, I always say.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 And this is the first post I see of today's game thread ... It might be a good day just to rely on the radio. Can be a good idea to take the first couple of pitches, and swing at one later on that you like.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Never room to stuff it in the main fridge ... it always went in the basement or garage at our house. I have to say, though that the mixture of nightcrawlers with other things was a little disconcerting. And please don't tell me that you eat watermelon at room temp. We only have one fridge so it occupies our top shelf. I do know that Watermelon is best when sliced. The outside tastes nasty.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 We only have one fridge so it occupies our top shelf. I do know that Watermelon is best when sliced. The outside tastes nasty. Well, the green part is always nasty but the white part tastes pretty darn good when made into pickles. Yum!
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Holy cow. Who saw this coming?
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Three-zip is nice, but it feels like it should be more. Three became insufficient in an awful hurry.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 LONG way to go in this one. Is that good or bad??????
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Well, the green part is always nasty but the white part tastes pretty darn good when made into pickles. Yum! I can go either way on the temperature of the watermelon heart, but now you're talking!
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Three became insufficient in an awful hurry.Wait...do not like.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Holy cow. Who saw this coming? Everybody who was against the signing last December.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I don't think it was the ump's fault that Hughes got lit up.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Wait...do not like. If Brock had implemented the UnLike button I might have to press it on my own post.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Hughes not at his best. Defense picking him up by taking a share of the blame. And Gardy picking him up too. Worrying that the day might come that Gardy would ease up and start to fall off his pace for the AL career manager ejection record... http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ixRMNOAoays/SecrrMqR-2I/AAAAAAAAG1s/DsoOPz_LxS4/s400/aragorn+speech.jpg
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 The color of shoes is an exaggeration of course, but the ump is there ultimately to ensure that a fair game is played. Not to do one particular aspect of that or another. If he feels that one pitcher is trying to gain an unfair advantage by dawdling, and calls a borderline pitch the other way a few times, I can't get overly worked up about it. It wouldn't necessarily be my own style. In all honesty... Umping is a hard job... As a coach... There were times i'd get frustrated but after grabbing a clicker doing a little umping... I just don't get frustrated anymore. When that pitch comes in... The call is often not obvious yet everyone else with worse views thinks it's obvious. It's a tough job... And Respect is deserved. But... Don't be pitching with ugly shoes when I'm behind the plate!!!
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I don't think it was the ump's fault that Hughes got lit up. He's have to be awfully subtle to call a first-pitch strike on the first three batters and then put the bad juju on the pitcher the rest of the at bat.

Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Has Hughs-ee thrown a breaking ball for a strike yet?
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Disappointing - the Twins need to strike hard and fast against Danks this inning. No exceptions.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Has Hughs-ee thrown a breaking ball for a strike yet?Several, but bats got in the way... Ok, didn't get home and put the game on until top o' the third, but based on that, gonna guess no. Good fastball is great to have, right up until they know it's the only thing hitting the zone.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Plenty of game left, but has a switch been flipped?
